So I have GA tix for wrigley and broke my tibia and fibula on March 3rd. Had surgery the next morning and had a rod put in my leg and screws in my ankle. Doctor initialy told me three months and haven't any problems to this point. Currently in a walking velcro boot from the knee down and my next appointment is Wednesday. Anybody know what to expect or had this happen to them? Obviously want to be in the best condition for the show and would appriciate any insight.

Hmmm.... Fracture march 3. Doc said 3 months, for what? Wearing the boot? So I guess you are walking now full weight bearing in the boot, right? Or do you have to use crutches, still? First, ask the doctor what she/he thinks. In my experience, for young people with that kind of fracture and surgery, once the boot comes off there is residual stiffness and weakness that has to be rehabilitated. If the boot comes off the beginning of June you will still have 5-6 weeks to get your leg stronger. I think you will just have to wait and see how it is at the time. If you are otherwise in good shape, strong and healthy and your leg comes back quickly you could very well be in GA form by wrigley. If not, I'm sure you can find someone with good seats willing to trade. Good luck.

Dude, my girlfriend broke the same things in her foot maybe two weeks before that (Feb 18) and she is already up and around walking without a boot right now. Still going through PT. She had 2 plates, 8 pins and two screws put in her ankle. Hang in there bro. I will be there with you on July 17.

    Worst-case scenario:

Call Wrigley a few days before the event. Let them know you need disability accommodations. A lot of places will loan you a wheelchair for that event that you just leave an ID as a deposit.

Thanks for the feedback. No intentions of giving up my GA and giving my buddy the other for his wedding gift. I think I'll be alright just getting a bit anxious now that we're closing in.

It will probably be okay by then... shortly before the show, try using the leg for a comparable amount of time and see how it feels. If it's painful, then you can just trade your ticket with someone with a club seat before the show.

Thanks for all the advice. Got the boot off this morning and have a month 1/2 to build the muscle back in my leg. See you all there!

I just fell off a roof and broke my heel in my left foot. I have Wrigley 10c tickets in the lower bowl. Is there an area for people with crutches at Wrigley? I will have a seat but I will be the only one sitting in it!

Oh shit, that sucks! Good thing you didn't get hurt worse. Maybe email 10c and see if they have anything in place for this kind of thing. I read at some point that someone showed up to a show with crutches and they worked it out so he was in the wheelchair section and it improved his seats... But I can't remember if that was just because he had GA tix.

or just sort of pray for and aisle seat. once everyone is up you'd be surprised, you might not have to sit down the whole show. when the seat is folded up u can kinda lean back on it so ur ass is bearing ur weight instead of ur foot.

call Wrigley and ask if they have handicap accomodations.

Key Arena's (Seattle) GA handicap section is the left and right corners of front row.

Yeah, i'd definitely inquire, although since they're 10c seats (I think that's what you're saying), I think it's 10c you might want to ask first and see what they say. Because if they can switch your tix to accommodate your injury, they would probably not want to leave the seats you'd originally be assigned unoccupied. With a broken heel, you'll want to get a seat where you can sit down and still see something if you can.

Just had surgery on Friday and healing now. I can't put any weight on my foot for 2 months and now Wrigley is out. As much as I tried to make it work, getting around that city on crutches does not sound fun. The handicap tickets for 10C are sold out. What sucks is I miss a show and two tickets will not be used. Its stupid that tickets can't be transferred...
