Wtf?
PJ South America week. New shows played befor available for bootleg download. Announce Wrigley show. No US dates announced. Released Missoula as "instant classic" but haven't released PJ20 shows yet. I have a feeling any "tour" announcement will be 3 nights in Boston, 2 nights NYC, 2 nights Seattle. Seems they like overseas more than us.

I feel you dude. I'm sick and tired of PJ touring and obsessing with South America. Screw that, play in the US. Its been over 3 years since their last normal tour and its getting annoying. For PJ20, they didn't even tour the US; they hit up Canada and SA only. WTF? Its to my understanding that PJ is an American band. It sucks that PJ is a global band. People here in the US just think of PJ as that band with Even Flow and Alive, thats it. Not to say SA has diehard fans, cause their mediocre imo. When you break it down, PJ has a fickle fanbase.hailhail8 wrote:PJ South America week. New shows played befor available for bootleg download. Announce Wrigley show. No US dates announced. IMO I think the band is at the stage in their career that they are mainly using Pearl Jam
as the cash cow to finance all of their individual pet projects most of which are not
money makers except for probably Ed solo. So they are looking to play a lot more
festivals that equate to fewer gigs but with much bigger paydays so they have more
time for their own individual creative endeavors. This is great for the band as they get to
expand their creativity but sucks for the fans because we want to see the same level of
intensity put into Pearl Jam as they have done for the past 20 years. Unfortunately those
days are in the past and to me all of their new diversions are really nothing special.
As always when they do tour the states I will try to get to several shows as they are still
a great live band but based on their last few albums the effort the members put into
creating new Pearl Jam music isn't what it used to be.4/22/92 St. Petersburg, 8/23/92 Orlando, 3/29/94 St. Petersburg, 10/7/96 Ft. I'm not sure where to start with this but its littered with nonsense. "It sucks that PJ is a global band"."Life comes from within your heart and desire"0 -

That's sooo stupid and even more funny because it can't be your REAL opinion that PJ is an American band!!!!!
That's WTF
By the way: If you are a real fan than get your ass to the concerts overseas as many many many PJ fans over the world do, a lot of them (and me too) almost every year! So please stop whining and let the band do what they want to do

As a foreigner, I also hear you. When I see these posts, it makes me appreciate better how lucky I've been with the Euro-2012 tour. I hope you'll get what you want in October-November, this year.
I think once you will be able to catch a few shows this fall, you will be more OK with PJ being "a global band." 8-)
Do not fret about SA-2013. Ed himself acknowledged during Sao Paulo show that it was a weird timing for a show. :ugeek:What's your part, who you are?
2012: Arras, Berlin 1-2
2013: Sao Paulo, Buenos Aires
2014: Milano, Trieste, Vienna, Berlin
2016: NY MSG 10 -
there was a thread not long while ago where the OP wonder about the same thing, and this week another thread similar like this one was locked, too many impolite people around...

my guess, they will announce the tour dates when they announce it, they will tell us when they are ready to tell us, not before...... I am not in the business of being liked anymore ...0
