    I think that although originally Release was a personal song its magic is in how universal the message and feeling of the song is. I certainly relate to it on a major level. Inside Job is definitely another one for me. Indifference too.

    It does really vary for me, but right now, as I am dealing with an at-times out-of-control teenage son, it is Love Boat Captain. The line "And the young, they can lose hope cause they can't see beyond today,...
    The wisdom that the old can't give away" plays in my head a lot and helps me maintain my balance and perspective when dealing with him.

    Thanks for making this thread, really appreciate it!

    Mine would have to be either Rearviewmirror, or MFC. Both songs talk about just driving off and getting out of and away from a bad situation. I mean right now I'm at a great and positive point in my life, but those songs have always hit home for me. Always liked listening to them whenever I was in a position where I just wanted to go somewhere far away so no one could bother me. I always loved listening to them when I would go off on a road trip during summer with my girlfriend and/or friends. Made me feel like I could take a break from some of the things in my life.
