I know obviously PJ are about all the members but if for once he came out alone to start a PJ show what would you like to hear him play? I had this thought listening to Footsteps and pictured him walking out from the dark and strumming the opening chords and blowing into the harmonica. I think the atmosphere would be incredible for this...

No thanks. Sorry, full band gotta open the show (besides the pre-sets). It doesn't get much better than "Release." As strange as it was, "Betterman" in Cleveland in 2006 was pretty cool. Just Eddie with the crowd singing, then the full band kicking in. That might work again.0

Saw/heard him play 'Dead Man' prior to Kansas City 2003. Sun was out, was wearing his Riot Act era fedora. Haunting song. I think he played this at one of the solo shows I went to in 08', 11'www.cluthelee.com0

He did it at the Vic 10C show in Chicago. He played:
Trouble
Dead Man
I used to work in Chicago
All the Way

I'd just be happy if he started the pre-set songs again. And so you see, I have come to doubt

What would all of the X fans do?0

I'd like for him to save his voice for the Pearl Jam show.
EV opening for his own band would be super anticlimactic. With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be careful. Strive to be happy. ~ Desiderata0 -
Same thing I do when X is on, go out in the parking lot and drink.Last-12-Exit wrote:What would all of the X fans do?And so you see, I have come to doubt

It's a different story if he comes out and sings with the opener. That's fun.bbrinke wrote:He sang Won't Back Down by Petty at my first show in Pensacola in 94.
