I think there is going to be the usual "favs" and a large amount of rarer/10C favorites since they all know how big of a deal this one show is. He can save all the normal songs for when they play the United Center or Alpine Valley in the fall.

Not so sure about that. There's gonna be a huge percentage of casual fans, so it's makes me believe it's gonna be full of staples, with maybe one or two huge "surprises" with one being All the Way. I think it's gonna be an epic show, but I'm keeping expectations tempered for there being alot of out there songs.

"An evening with Pearl Jam" I wonder how many they will play? That could significantly impact the playlist.

I'm fine with the hits as long as they're played with passion and they aren't phoning it in. I just don't want to have a bunch of lost dogs and riot act clunkers in there. Zzzzzzzzz.

I'm thinking this one is a STONE-cold LOCK!

I'm thinking it won't be all hits, but don't expect a ton of rarities. Expect quite a few songs off Theo's list he posted a few months ago.

Completely agree. This show will have the largest contingent of 10c members aside from PJ 20.
In no way shape or form is this a nightmare for Ed. Definitely expect the usual staples, but there will be a few nuggets for the die-hards. The man knows how to write a set list and I have no doubt the wrigley set will be good for the venue. Just please, please, please, please NO SPECIAL GUESTS! Keep it an evening with Pearl Jam.

Amen. Makes NO sense to me to even PLAN a piss break. This isn't Train we're talking about!

Nope. There were no more 10club tix available for this show than any other. Everyone and their grandma that loved PJ back in the day is going to this show from the Chicago area. A summer night concert in Wrigleyville is a chance for everyone to come out and play. Lots and lots of casual fans at this show my friends.

I never meant playing Wrigley was Ed's nightmare, playing the State Fair is Ed's nightmare.......This will be damn close.

    I don't get the correlation.

What's so bad about playing state fair? I guess it depends on the state fair, but I've seen Bob Dylan and Velvet Revolver at Illinois'.

Ed was quoted recently as saying he doesn't want to become the band that plays the State Fair. "Hey honey, hold my corn dog they are playing Jeremy...." was one of his fears. I'm just saying that if you substitute corn dog with PBR and its gonna be about the same concert.....don't get me wrong, its gonna be an amazing night.

I believe the 10c stated this show had a larger than usual allotment. Even if you apply the usual percentage, its a LOT of 10c members in attendance. There are a lot of sections for which you don't see any seats on scalper sites. Agreed that there will be casual fans, its a huge audience, but this is not your typical festival show with a tiny percentage of 10c members in a huge GA crowd.

Time will tell, but I have faith that EV knows how to tailor the setlist for the Wrigley show.

The only STONE COLD LOCK is Happy Birthday for STONE!!! It is his birthday on the 20th.

For those that don't want an all hits setlist, I get your point (I really do). BUT... I look at Rush's latest tour. In all fairness, Rush has done a greatest hits tour and they recently played one of their biggest albums from start to finish. On the latest tour, they played a lot of stuff from the new album and a lot of not so greatest hits from the 80's. While I'm sure the die hard Rush fan was in love, the truth be told, 70% of the audience got really bored. And when 70% of the audience is bored, that's not good for anyone.

For Wrigley, I'm hoping for a 3+ hour set so I'm hoping for a mixture of a lot of stuff.

We'll be coming up from New Orleans and being a Cub Fan, All The Way would be great. I actually wrote a song about the Saints using the same Chords when they won the SuperBowl.

I'm going to throw it out there and say they will play close to 50 songs this night.
