Not to sound ungrateful or complaining, but
Could y'all maybe come up with some slipmats and a box to hold the 45s?

Aren't slip mats just for DJs? I thought it was just for scratching. I thought u didn't want the record to slip... What is your belief about them or why u like them?IT'S EVOLUTION BABY!!!!!0

It's just what you lay the record down on. Not about scratching necessarily. It's fun to have an image on them. I'm a big Bad Religion fan and they made one that I bought with their cross-buster logo on it. It's awesome.0 -

And a box for regular sized vinyl too. I'm actually in the market for now but I can wait if it means I can get a PJ related one.92 - Orlando

Technically, yes, (like you said) hence the name "slip mat", but they've become a decorative piece for any turntable...while I wouldn't use it for it's intended purpose, I would love to walk up to my deck and see some sick PJ artwork on the platter. And a box for 10" because I now have two 10" xmas singles, two 10" mad season singles, and two 10" Soundgarden EP's... lol0 -
I got my Minus The Bear / Infinity Overhead slip mat at their show here at The Newport in Columbus:

One of my FAVORITE items I've picked up at a show lately...and it was only $5.00!!!

But with the give of a slip mat, could it effect the speed of which the record is played? I guess it's kind of an audiophile question, but who better to ask than those who use them. Any speed issues?IT'S EVOLUTION BABY!!!!!0

Most turntables come with a harder plastic slip mat incorporated into the turntable...Greatplainsman... wrote:But with the give of a slip mat, could it effect the speed of which the record is played? My new slip mat is made of a softer fabric.
Not sure it it's true, but they MAY provide some added protection for the "down" side of the album from wear and tear while it's on your turntable.
I haven't noticed any speed related issues.

It won't effect it at all if the arm's weighted properly and even then it's hard to imagine any slipping just from the weight of the needle.0 -
A Pearl Jam (not Ten Club) slipmat would be awesome.
Here's my Clutch 'Earth Rocker' slipmat I got last month. Love it.

The idea of a Pearl Jam branded LP/45 box and slipmat is a no brainer. For a band that loves vinyl so much they really don't do enough vinyl/vinyl related products.2000: Manchester

I always heard the slip mat reduces the static noise. Could just have been a rumor but I bout a Fat records one anyway. It does seem to be less dusty for my records if that makes any sense.92 - Orlando

as vested as the band appears to be in vinyl through the years, its surprising we haven't seen a similarly branded PJ mat. i like the idea :thumbup:First: ATL2 04/03/1994

What we really need is a happy medium between what we have here and what Jack White does at Third Man Records. IMO
