Quick question about 10c patch?
Is it iron on or do I have to sew it on ?
It has a plastic type backing so I'm not sure.
No directions with the patch..
Thanks in advance!

It might be an Iron-on...
but it will be more secure if you sew it on the article of clothing you want to patch!!
I used mine to patch a tear in my favorite shirt:
I also have this shirt dry cleaned now, so the patches don't curl up or peel off...Hope this helps :ugeek:'96: Seattle: Key Arena

Don't iron any patch unless it says "iron on"
You have to sew it on. If you try to iron it the plastic will melt. If you don't want to sew. The dry cleaners normally have a tailor/seamstress . They may charge 5 dollars or less to sew it. I wash my patches all the time, and put them in the dryer with no problems.
I ruined a NASA patch by trying to iron it on. I'm still angry at myself. Hope this helps.

my 10c patch ironed on beautifully, and I've had no problems with it. the "white webbing" on the back is for ironing on the patch. I also use this webbing for hemming jeans. yes you can iron it on!! place patch on garment & then use a damp cloth to put on top of patch & place iron on top of damp cloth for 15 to 20 seconds. good luckPJ 17/3/95, 3/3/98, 18/2/03, 16/11/06, 20/11/09 Melb & Qld 25/11/09

Thank you for the advice. I think the op is not so fabric savy.
The white webbing... AKA... plastic is for keeping the embroidery's integrity.
Things are different in other countries. I realize this. In the United States. The Iron melts the webbing.
If you (not ketray2412) don't have any experience... please sew it.
(Ketray2412... most of these users have never used patches... Guys!
)
I personally rather pay 8$ to hem my pants then iron. You have a gift.
98% of us don't.

Are there older patches or just from the last couple of years and the PJ20 ?ajb0

Oh crap Ketray?
Which patch was it? That's awful.
My luck is horrible too. If the patch says it's the iron on kind it will stick for an hour before it peels off. I heard about patch glues, I bought some of that, and it was worthless.
Sewing is our only hope, or safety pins?

I do sew. The first time I worked with patches I was trying to recreate an military pilot's flight suit.
The suit it self is very thick. The patches (aviation) were thick. After sewing three patches my fingers were to sore.
I've sewn so many patches. That is why I feel like I have experience.

when in doubt, sew it on.The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun.

i just sew everything on... with 2 sets of stitching so that when the baggage handling machine rips off one line, hopefully the 2 lines holds my patch on...
talk about being anal...
maybe one of these days I'll get a sewing machine and stop doing it by hand.Houston, Texas... Believe it or not, there are 7 million people here... must be a couple of fans who'd love to see you play.0
