it dusts any of the 2009 shows by a mile, in my opinion, they hit it out of the park

    How weird!

I am watching this show as we speak...

Not top 5 but definitely not top 40.

I'd say one of the top 20. Amazing show.

You watching this too right now?

Lots of good songs played really tight. As well as alot of rare songs, played pretty well also. Not sloppy ;)

Crazy Mary's ghost makes an appearance ;)

While it may not be in my top 5, I couldn't agree more that it blows any one of the four 2009 shows out of the water. The 2005 Philly show is pretty tight, all 4 of the 2009 Philly shows are quite sloppy, last two nights especially.

Great show; I was fortunate enough to see this from the 3rd row, dead center.

This show ruled and the setlist was better but I think I enjoyed the 2003 Spectrum show more.

The '03 Spectrum show was indeed a very special night. The band was absolutely 'on' that night.

The '05 show was also very good, with a fantastic setlist.

The bootleg won't do it much justice. The 2005 show has a better setlist and was a longer show. But the energy in the building in 2003 was amazing. The Spectrum was better for crowd noise than the new arena is...whether it be for concerts, basketball games, whatever. I also had my best ever seats at the 2003 show (on the side, like 15 feet from Stone). One of those "ya had to be there to truly appreciated it" shows but you'll still dig the bootleg.

Spectrum '03 was the loudest crowd I've heard ever at any show I've ever been to. Powerful.

Yeah. I thought nothing could top MSG98 for me as far as loudness but the 03 Spectrum did. Again not a rare setlist but they played those hits like they had something to prove. It actually changed how i think about setlists. The setlist wasnt rare but the vibe definitely was.

yeah I was thinking of all the factors including the way the band killed it even through the technical difficulties of Crazy Mary to the setlist to the crowd, which as I am finding out wasn't as 2003, boy it sure is a tough comparison, but I am also look at it from being able to listen to it over and over as well, still a real tough call

if the 05 show had taken place the next night in 03 it would've been their greatest 2 night stand ever IMO. First night is the band killing it with the hits and then basically a fanclub stadium show a day later.

I used to have the 03 show on video but I lost it years ago.

I think the set list lost a lot of people in 2005 especially with little sister and bleed for me. I remember leaving this show thinking how awesome it was but it definitely didn't crack my personal top 5.

Spectrum '03 crushed Wachovia '05 in my opinion. The 2005 show was on fire until the technical difficulties and after that, it seemed both the crowd and the band lost it's energy. Spectrum 2003 was just balls to the wall the entire show with emotion and energy. I remember leaving the 2005 show thinking it was good but not Spectrum 2003...I'm certainly not complaining though as both shows were gifts!!

'05 show was fun. Had a great time. But I'd relive any of the '09 Spectrum shows before this one.

I think they played around 30 tunes in '05 and 10 of them were covers. Not that that is bad, just a different type of show.

I remember the crowd singing the last verse of Even Flow very loudly.

it's not in the top 5 for me. Spectrum 2003 was definitely better for me and to be honest the Borgata 1 show a few nights prior i thought was better. thought the encore in 2005 was a little too mellow and really slowed the energy down. I think most people rank it high because of the rarities played but i always thought it was a good not great show.

in my opinion the best cover of Leaving Here they ever did
nothing against Jeff & Stone but having Sleater-Kinney backing vocals gave it cooler feel

I try not to compare shows- they are each very special - always at least one magical moment- that being said I count Spectrum 2003 to be one of my favorite shows- it was more like being at a big backyard bash with  10,000 of your best friends- I don't think anyone sat down all night- anyway Wachovia 2005 was awesome too- and of course Spectrum 09 shows- Philly shows rock!!!

it's always cool how there's a show or two from each tour that totally transcends just being an awesome show.

Arriving there I didn't think Spectrum03 would be a show i'd remember everything about 10 years later but for whatever reason I remember everything when i've forgotten a lot of things about other shows that year and other tours. The 10Club line was pleasant. Weather was great. Sparta showed me what the acoustics would be like (LOUD). Crazy Mary opened a show for the first time and it only made the crowd even louder.

The acoustics of that building + the loudest US crowd i've ever heard was a cool mix. Kind of floored the band. Their reaction was pretty funny. But yeah the "Ten" songs were played like it was 91. My favorite version of Betterman ever. And great dialogue between songs from EV all night. Special night. It was worth the road trip.

Flawless April weather. I remeber all of the beach balls in the crowd prior to the band coming on stage.
When they did the roar was deafening.

That version of Betterman is fantastic. A lot of fire in it. Cannot believe that was 10 yrs ago already.

I couldn't agree more!!! The best and loudest crowd I've heard in any arena for any band.

Comparing the spectrum to wachovia center or the FU center or whatever they call that heartless place these days is absurd. The spectrum is truly one of a kind and the newer place is the exact opposite. As far as the shows the 05 setlist may be as good as any in history in my opinion.
He was ok but wondering about wandering
