There's a place where I'm from called "The Crow's Nest". It's an officers club... really cool... it actually has one of 5 (in the entire world) working German U-boat submarine's periscopes in the place.... it's in the corner and goes up through the roof so you can see out in the harbor... super cool... had some friends with some miltary connections so we can get in there from time to time when there's not an event happening.

    That's badass

Wouldn't work too well I'd think.. Ever been within a mile of
A train, or closer???? Those things are LOUD!!!

maybe a freight train rumbling along at 60mph with it's horn blowing.

we have lots of trains that run around chicago...both big and small. they aren't that loud unless you are right up by the tracks, and even than it's not to bad. our favorite mexican place sits across the street from some tracks. never have an issue with conversation when a train pulls in
I guess I'll get to see that when Iget there. Guessi'm just used to the
    Freighters out herein the Midwest.

In KC there was a laundromat called Duds n' Suds that had a
Bar, and access to the grill house next door over, so you could
toasted while you washed your nasty socks! It was great!

Sit N Spin-a real bar with a real nightclub in it and laundromat-now a restaurant called Spitfire
The Five Point Cafe-it had a laundromat next to it, so go and do your laundry and go next door to have a drink-The Cafe/Bar is still open, the laundromat is now a smokeshop.

I want a bar called 'The Dog Park'-and you can bring your dog in with you.

Yeah, I hit a few of these in college. Not as cool as I thought it would be. I dreamed of the hot girl using the dryer next to mine, having a panty emergency.

Now Florida has this thing for painting and drinking. Sips-n-strokes and/or Vino Van Gogh, they're called. Mostly women do this I think. Art studios where you get hammered. This I like. I think Bob Ross might not approve though.
