Why not the Rose Bowl? I saw U2 play there in Oct 2009. Besides, that means I could ride my bike to the show, since I live in that area.

To be honest, I don't think PJ could fill the Rose Bowl. They could definitely fill an arena like the Forum twice but 100K is tough and likely costly to book. I was at that U2 show and I'm only 20 or so minutes away but took the shuttle from Parsons which was a complete nightmare trying to get back on after the show. No more Rose Bowl shows for me.

Eager to see what becomes of the Forum now that MSG bought it and is remodeling it to be a concert venue. An article was just posted recently about them hiring local people to help rip out the old yellow and orange seats so I wonder if it would be ready for a fall tour? While there's not much going on around it in Inglewood and it was run down inside, I thought the Forum was one of the better arenas acoustically. My family was also Kings season ticket holders back in the 90's so it's always a little nostalgic going there.

I've been to a few shows at the Long Beach Arena and thought the sound wasn't all that great. Saw Tool on the Lateralus tour at both the Forum and later LB Arena and the Forum was by far the better sounding show.

And now Gibson Amp's no longer an option as of September.

So maybe PJ should do another 4 nights at the Gibson and close it out like they did the Spectrum.

It says they're booking something to close it down, but I think it might be a little more LA-centic since there are so many local bands that have come up and played the venue through the years. Who knows though? PJ didn't have much to do with Philadelphia and they closed that building.

It's called the San Manuel Amphitheater now. Been there for Ozzfest and Rock the Bells concerts. The parking lot is a mess to get out after the show. I wouldn't recommend it.
    The Palladium would be cool.

Seems that a decent amount of the arena rock shows are going to the Sports Arena now. I saw Springsteen there last year and it was a great show.

I saw Green Day there two weeks ago. It's not as bad as I thought. I'll take a Pearl Jam show there.

Now we just have to find a local bar, maybe something south of the venue, for the pre-party! ;)
