10C should let fanclub members rate the bootlegs

How many times have people come on here, myself included, to ask "So which bootleg should I get?' or "Which bootleg sounds best?"
Why not let the fanclub members that have already purchased them rate them, and allow them to add notes...
Something along the lines of: 4 stars. Band was on fire. Ed sounded great. Awesome setlist. Good crowd energy, etc
Use the average score under the bootleg in the shop.
Just a thought

in the ol version of the site, if you went to TOUR, you could see the old set lists and comments were allowed, same with news, that is not rating, but at least there were comments... now we have the fans views, but not all take part in that, plus, in the old system, those comments were made by people who got the boot, whether they were at the show or not... I second that, I have my annual code and I haven't decided which boot I shall download, MSG 2010? Spectrum? comments and ratings should be allowed.... I am not in the business of being liked anymore ...0

great idea!!!please email 10c about it"...Dimitri...He talks to me...'.."The Ghost of Greece..".

And people could give unbiased opinions
But I do like the idea...got a mind full of questions and a teacher in my soul...0 -
I e-mailed 10C. As far as getting people to give unbiased opinions, that will NEVER happen lol, but by using the average of the ratings it will all even out. If 20 people give it 4 stars, and 1 person gives it 1 star it will still essentially be a 4 star bootleg.0

I completely agree. I just renewed and have been trying to figure out which bootleg to get. Would be great to have some help picking0

An amazon-esque star/comment system would be great.
The old store had a "top ten items" and "top ten shows" thing. That needs to come back.Presidential Advice from President-Elect Mike McCready: "Are you getting something out of this all encompassing trip?"0 -
A star rating by each bootleg would be great.0
-
And if they wanted they could put an option to not just place them in chronological order, but from highest rated to lowest. And if they don't want to use stars they could use:
Epic/Classic
Great
Good
Ok
Fair0 -
Not a fan of the idea, mostly because of the " I went to this show so I automatically call it the best" syndrome that is challenging to avoid. Furthermore, way too many members would rate a show based on setlist and not the actual performance. Allowing us to freely discuss boots here and provide as much commentary as we want is usually good enough for me. So many threads can be found on what are the best or great bootlegs.2008: Bonnaroo
2010: Bristow
2012: Atlanta
2013: Charlottesville, Charlotte
2014: Cincinnati
2016: Greenville, Hampton, Raleigh (cancelled), Columbia, Lexington
