I posted this on facebook...
listening to Mad Season on vinyl.... thoughts:
1- Damn this sounds good on vinyl
2- Layne....sigh....what a waste...so talented
3- River of Deceit STILL brings tears to my eyes
4- Lanegan's voice is ridiculous. Seriously....
5- Love the "new" songs.
6- Glad I got in line at 5am to get this.0 -
Do we know for sure about a Ten Club Member's only selling of this LP?Once
Upon a time0 -
It's interesting having different vocalists, same band, on the one album like this. It's fine & Lanegan's great, it's just quite interesting.<hr>

Got to the record store at 5:30 am
Scored #2923 in upstate NY
Spinning it right now. There are no words to describe how hauntingly beautiful it is.
It just sounds incredible. I mean, they did a really remarkable job on this piece.Run for it, Marty.0 -
Arrived at Easy Street around 6:30 and snagged copy #1133. Saw copies hanging around until at least 9 AM. Anyway, Mike and Barrett were super cool and I even got a pick from Mike. I gave him a clipping of a Rolling Stone article from Dec 1994 which I have kept all these years about their band "The Gacy Bunch" playing at the Croc which he got a kick out of.SEA 9/20/92, SEA 12/7/93, SEA 12/31/94 (MS), SEA 11/5/00, SEA 11/6/00, SEA 12/8/02, SEA 12/9/02, BEN 10/22/03, GOR 9/1/05, SD 7/7/06, LA 7/10/06, LA 7/12/06, LA (EV) 4/12/08, LA (EV) 4/13/08, LA 7/12/08, LA 9/30/09, LA 10/7/09, SEA 12/6/13, SEA 8/8/180

That's AWESOME!!! What a great experience for you. Great you were able to speak with both of them. :-)Run for it, Marty.0 -
Yeah, I regret not taking photos with them like everybody else but was happy with just the chance to chat and a handshake. I want to check out Barrett's latest band, Walking Papers. He said he's getting on a plane in a few days for a tour of Europe somewhere.SEA 9/20/92, SEA 12/7/93, SEA 12/31/94 (MS), SEA 11/5/00, SEA 11/6/00, SEA 12/8/02, SEA 12/9/02, BEN 10/22/03, GOR 9/1/05, SD 7/7/06, LA 7/10/06, LA 7/12/06, LA (EV) 4/12/08, LA (EV) 4/13/08, LA 7/12/08, LA 9/30/09, LA 10/7/09, SEA 12/6/13, SEA 8/8/180
