    2- Layne....sigh....what a waste...so talented
3- River of Deceit STILL brings tears to my eyes
4- Lanegan's voice is ridiculous. Seriously....
    5- Love the "new" songs.

It's interesting having different vocalists, same band, on the one album like this. It's fine & Lanegan's great, it's just quite interesting.

I have an original pressing and thought this new one sounded much better (to be fair I bought my OP used, so who knews how many times it was spun before I bought it).

  • Got to the record store at 5:30 am

    Scored #2923 in upstate NY

Spinning it right now. There are no words to describe how hauntingly beautiful it is.

It just sounds incredible. I mean, they did a really remarkable job on this piece.
    Run for it, Marty.

Arrived at Easy Street around 6:30 and snagged copy #1133. Saw copies hanging around until at least 9 AM. Anyway, Mike and Barrett were super cool and I even got a pick from Mike. I gave him a clipping of a Rolling Stone article from Dec 1994 which I have kept all these years about their band "The Gacy Bunch" playing at the Croc which he got a kick out of.

That's AWESOME!!! What a great experience for you. Great you were able to speak with both of them. :-)

Yeah, I regret not taking photos with them like everybody else but was happy with just the chance to chat and a handshake. I want to check out Barrett's latest band, Walking Papers. He said he's getting on a plane in a few days for a tour of Europe somewhere.
