For me its Shannon Hoon....I was really into these guys when they came out.... Had both their albums and loved them both... So sad when I heard the news he passed away. I remember it to this day... Really thought this band and Shannon had so much more great music in them.

Uuuuuhh, just listening to him now, such a shame. Jeff was absolutely amazing, haunting and listening to his voice now makes my soul cry. :(

The 2 names that immediately sprang to mind were Jack Rose and Elliott Smith. I still listen to them both all the time, almost daily.

For anyone that doesn't know Jack's music, I highly recommend checking out "Raag Manifestoes" or "Kensington Blues". Jack was one of my all time favourite guitarists and a genuinely lovely person. He was just 38 when he passed in 2009.

    Ben Keith
