When I first read this I thought it said it had to be THE Stones' fault... like if the Stones can charge $650 a ticket, the Jam can charge $40 for a collar.

You guys better hurry, only Small & Mediums left!

    Just kidding.

So how many people are going to buy the XL size and let their kid wear it as a belt, for when they bring their kid to a show to get a pick or tambourine or get to meet Eddie?? ;)

The one year old attending Wrigley will need a slightly smaller sized belt....

where's the love for the kitten collars?

But seriously $40? It should be 5 cents (cue Lucy from Peanuts) or at the most $15.

Good one Fonz! $40!? Those will be a dust collector. I guess nothing has to make much sense. I would get a couple...if they were reasonable on the price.

Would probably get one if not for the 9$ shipping... $40 is pretty steep tho too.

April is animal awareness month. If you are looking for a pet please think about adopting or fostering one (or three). Don't support pets stores that sell cats or dogs as puppy mills are a primary reason for overpopulated shelters. Spay or neuter your pet and support your local animal shelter in any way you can.

Not worth $40.00 and that can be shipped first class with delivery confirmation for less than $4.00.

At least it's not Made in China folks.

Though very shocked to see a PJ dog collar sold @ the 10club store. Something like this usually get's sold over @ http://www.etsy.com/ . Could of sworn they sold a stickman dog collar over there months back.

For those that don't own a dog you can still use one of these on your partner for a kinky pleasure I guess.

If they are accepting suggestions, I would also like some kind of pyrotechnics, just around corners, nothing too fancy.

These are handmade. They won't be "pet store cheap" because they're not mass produced in China, Taiwan, Malaysia, etc. The person/people who are making them deserve fair compensation for their labour. Given how many ways the $40 USD (~£26 GBP) is likely to be split, it seems fair to me.

Exactly what I was going to say. Fair day's pay for a fair day's work!

Would be cool to get a belt with some of these designs.

Some cows had to give their hides for this? Really? I would buy a non-leather dog collar for ten bucks, yeah... And even then it would be overpaying because they'd be made in China for 20 cents, but that's just the way things are.

I would definitely buy a Backspacer or the No Code one if they were the break-a-way type of dog collar.

Pearl Jam AND/OR 10C have sold out. No doubt in my mind anymore.

I shouldn't have to cite all the ridiculous items they've put for sale and the IMO high costs of membership. We all know how gross it's been.

But I do want to quote a thread of emails between me and 10C back in Sept. I think:

Original Email: (verbatim with name removed)

    [> Greetings;
    >
    > If I'm reading correctly... 10C has now made available as a re-release the PJ20 documentary with the previously exclusive bonus content on 3-discs.
    >
    > And it's $39.99.
    >
    > How is this release different from the supposed 'limited edition' PJ20 with the 'exclusive content' that I bought a year ago for $59.99?
    >
    > I just wanted some clarification because I have to admit... I feel like a total sucker right now. I never thought I would experience something like this from 10C.
    >
    > Regards,
    >
    > ]

    10C response: (verbatim)

[Content is identical, packaging is different.
    10c]

    My response: (verbatim)

    [Ok,

    Why the $20.00 difference?

    Thanks,

    ]

    10C Response: (verbatim)

[packaging costs for the reissue are $20 less than the original package.

    10c]

    ^

That's just to give an idea of the FACT that Pearl Jam don't seem to care anymore about saving any of their fans money. And the grandest shame of it all is that the members of the band genuinely come off as regular blue-collared folk who seem or SEEMED to care back in the day.

It's true... people do have the CHOICE to purchase whatever they want.

But regardless of that fact, it shows bad taste that 10C are willing to go forward these money-grabbing tactics.

As per the above email.. I truly DO NOT BELIEVE that the packaging was $20.00 difference per unit. And in the insane chance that it is true... KNOWING that.. why would 10C add on $20.00 per unit TO THE FAN... just for a different package that is in NO WAY worth $20.00.

To some of the other posters in this topis... YES... it would be nice to see that 10C is doing something or putting some money towards an animal shelter or something like that.
