was having a conversation the other day with an old 'friend'... he proceeds to tell me that I would have better served myself to have seen STP in concert vs. PJ because "they rock so much better", and because Eddie Vedder was exactly like Tom Cruise in terms of his "God complex" and his egotism. Needless to say, that conversation didn't end well. I was like, 'did you really just compare Eddie Vedder to Tom Cruise??!?'. :x

Do you really think so?? I told him I thought they both had reason to have larger egos, and probably wouldn't have gotten where they have without them, but they don't seem similar to me in any other way.
edit... he also said something along the lines of 'the way they both use their stature and throw their fame around'...no, his word was EXPLOIT their stature.
