As I said, not complaining about the value of said items or of my ten club membership, but think sending out stickers and patches is just junk. I am 43 and stopped having an interest is shit like this decades ago.

I'd rather they made a donation to a worthy cause in the name of Ten Club members than send out junk like this.

Shit - have a couple of annual lotteries for analogue members and send some fans to a show of their choice anywhere on the globe?

If you look at the cost in both money and carbon pollution of production and shipping to all over the globe, I think it is a total waste on items that are little more than junk.

That's my opinion and I'm well within my rights to have it. Doesn't make me want to be a 10 Club member any less and it doesn't change my idea of the value of a membership.

Your opinion is fine... I just think your expectations for a fan club membership are way over inflated. You keep bring up your age and maturity level as a reason why you dislike the stickers, but you sound like a child who was disappointed by what they found under the tree on Christmas morning.

Well that's your opinion and a fairly immature and judgemental one at that, looking for a fight obviously by making it personal - I won't bite on that level.

But the annual gift is something we pay for as part of our membership. As an international member it is something we pay extra to be delivered around the other side of the world. As a consumer I am justified to make my opinion known and I did it in a respectful and honest manner.

As I said, if they are going to produce a gift that we pay for, i'd prefer it to be something more useful or not bother. For the effort and resources used to produce this, I'd rather see a donation made to a charity or some other benefit of my membership.

If you are unable to disagree with someone without ripping out ridiculous metaphors and making it personal, it says far more about you than it does me. Keep on trucking.

And for the record, this is the only time I have made a negative remark or complaint about anything the Ten Club has done. How one not of feedback can result in being told to leave or being called an immature spoilt child once again, speaks more about those making such remarks than it does me. I'm comfortable in my skin.

btw,i just notice, download bootleg code is only for Analog?
thought was for digital membership as well..
so with 20$ extra u get, free dowload,(cost 10$) deep magazine hard copy, single vinyl, and 2 times shipping (usa members only that, international we pay that 2 times shipping cost)

well, seems to me we must be happy with stickers..:lol:

really,we cant have big expectations...its really a gift..we get more than enough with that 20$ extra dollars

but..there are other options for gift that cheap, and lightweight,(for low shgipping reasons)
    sign photo,sign postcards,band members picks,etc
hope next year, will be different the gift...

    Nicely put Paul,

as a collector these items are always welcome, but i have to say I can understand your viewpoint on this.

I never received last years package, but it seems a little unimaginative to make the same one again, and I like the idea of the charity donation instead. Perhaps it could be optional

I wouldnt ever want to sound ungrateful or that i am complaining however, and believe I am generally very supportive of the club and what they try to do for what i would consider a difficult and at times rabid fanbase.

But Paul like anyone else is more than entitled to his opinion, and I would totally respect the way he chose to deliver it.

No I'm not complaining about stickers. I'm making the point that I'd prefer the money and effort to be put towards something better; from a discount coupon to a lottery to really make a splash for on person to a charity donation. Based on the comments from plenty of other 10 Club members on social media, a lot of other people feel the same.

    Charity donations are awesome.

A good option for people who are unsatisfied with the analog membership is to go digital next year and donate the difference in price to the charity of their choice. Everybody wins in that case.

now you mention about 10c members here and in social media,if i can put almost all in one thought..

most of people i read, understand and get that we cant expect something expensive ,something will cost alot as product or its heavy and cost alot for shipping, and the same time they want some different than stickers and patch..cos stickers and parch was the same as last year gift(different design tho) or they arent into this type of things..

the funny,is now we realise, how cool-useful was the Analog shirt the 1st year..

No I'm not complaining about stickers so to speak. Maybe your reading comprehension is not so good. I'm making the point that I'd prefer the money and effort to be put towards something better; from a discount coupon in the 10 Club store, to a lottery to really make a splash for on person to a charity donation. Based on the comments from plenty of other 10 Club members on social media, a lot of other people feel the same. And a lot have expressed themselves in far less gracious dialogue than I.

If you are such a sycophant that you cannot accept the smallest piece of negative feedback or constructive criticism about your beloved fan club that is your issue, nor mine. My record of honesty and tolerance in this club is there for all to see. My support and understanding of them over the years has been resolute. If you want to take issue over this matter and make it personal then as I said, it makes more comment on you than me.

And yes, I did call them junk and a waste, because to me, that is what they are. I also said I appreciate the skill in the artwork. I'd just prefer these 'gifts'to be something useful, rather than a token. A donation to a charity voted by club members would mean far more and do far more good that another set of stickers.

I'm not 7 years old so I don't play with stickers anymore and I don't wear denim jackets so the patch is useless.

Looks like they took a rejected concert poster design put it on a print and then chopped it up for the stickers and patch.

Just seems lazy and thoughtless to do the same thing as least year.

but really its not worth getting excited about - these are just stickers and whilst some people will find them cool, others might not and might have suggestions for alternatives

We are naturally grateful for what we get, and the fact that this is a freebie that is a bonus is something we must note.

I too am analogue for the single and Deep. The free gift means little, especially when it is something like this. As I said, for the effort, cost and resources involved I would prefer they made a donation to a cause that really needed the money rather than send out thousands of sticker sheets, badges and so on. (Which I along with a significant number of others regard as junk) What is so hard to understand in that?

yeah, pretty much this,,cant expect much, its just stickers, but its an extra gift..all cool for me..
hope will be different next year
i wish alot here in the forum and everywhere could put time and effort to post their opinion when there are threads about music and shows and bootlegs and version of songs, than the time and effort they put about stickers and Merchandise in general

No way, I'm going to keep them in sealed pristine condition for the next ten years and then flip them to some sucker on eBay. ;-)

They will be given away to someone who needs a pick me up one day. Won't be the first time I've given away stuff to make someone feel better and won't be the last. As for charity, part of my Way of life is to give. Be it child sponsorship, cash donations, the odd free website, community service or random acts of kindness, I'm pretty happy worth my personal philanthropic efforts. Would be nice to do something as a club though.

Hey Paul Andrews is a good guy! Leave him alone. Let him say this annual gift, which is nearly identical to last year's annual gift but with a different design, is not up to his expectations. Nothing wrong with that.

Bring back Anal Dog, Paul!!!!

I like the designs and wish they could have put them on a shirt or hat or something.

I realized the reason they maybe stopped doing shirts is not only the cost but mostly because if we got a Ten Club SHIRT for free (included) every year, why would we be tempted to BUY a Ten Club shirt form the Shop?... many of which are offered for $25 etc... We wouldn't. We'd wear the free one.

Personally I wish more of the stuff said Pearl Jam and not Ten Club. That would also make it cooler. I do like these stickers better than last years though, decent design. I might stick them somewhere.

    ok...

    20$ digital
    40$ analog

for that extra 20$ you get a single vinyl ,deep magazine hard copy and a gift..stickers again this year..
and the cost of 2 times shipping, once for single and magazine and one for the gift..
    all this for 20$
(international paying +10 for those 2 shipping packages)

im suprized what people expected...with 20 $ you can buy from the shop..1 old tshirts,or 1 bootleg or stickers and a patch...

    Plus a digital download code.

I like stickers but my guitar case is running our of room and I have enough PJ stickers on it. Oh well I will save them and when I get a hardcase for my acoustic I will cover that with stickers. The design is better than last years. Maybe this spring I will hit wall mart or K mart and pick up a zip up hoodie and sew my patches on it.

I admit I was hoping for a tee shirt but this will work as well.

I look at the gift as the freebie and I pay the extra 20 for the vinyl and download code.
    My butt itches!
