  • Ok, so can't compare to other Aussie shows, or other Bruce concerts I have been to in the past as last night was my 1st one !!!

One word for it....AMAZING !!! It was like a freaking religious experience.....Incredible the man is a force of nature......And I gotta say this..I've never had the pleasure of seeing Steve Zahn play live..but Tom Morello.......IS OUT OF THIS WORLD......He was an animal last night..

Highlights for me were, (in no particular order..... Ghost of Tom Joad,..again Tom Morello. amazing, :D Cover Me, No surrender and I'm on fire !!.... Can not believe my luck in getting that last one played....

It's only taken about 26 years, but thanks Mr Springsteen for an experience that will last with me forever !!! :D:D:D

The first Melbourne show in Australia
was the very first show on the entire tour
that " My City Of Ruins" wasnt played.

I do like the song, but still cant believe that has become one of the staples.

Wow. Wow. Wow. The Sydney 3-night stand last week was the experience of a lifetime. Being in second row for Night 2 and hearing Jungleland so up close was unforgettable.

Last week I got the 4 LP box set of Live at the Main Point from Feb of 75. I know this is a very widely known show to all the hardcore Bruce fans but this is the first time I have heard it. It's absolutley amazing. To think Bruce hadn't even released BTR at this point is hard to imagine. It sounds like a show from the early or mid 80's energy and talent wise. At this show he sounds like hes been rocking for at least 10 years. It's easy to say now, but how did people not think Bruce would be the biggest artist in the world at this time?

Can't believe it's been a year since the Springsteen in DC. Best impulse decision ever--left work early and made my way to the venue alone in search of a ticket for face. Scored an extra with two lovely Irish gentlemen and then we all proceeded to have our faces melted off. Don't even have words to explain how incredible the show was. Came at a time when I really, really needed it and it honestly carried me through the rest of the semester. I hope I get to see Bruce again!

BILLY JOEL IS BUILDING A MOTORCYCLE FOR BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN

Born a few months apart in the New York area, lifelong labelmates and members of the (other) Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Billy Joel and Bruce Springsteen have a lot in common. In addition, both are also well-known motorcycle fans, and Joel is currently building a bike for his old friend.

Speaking to Cycle World, Joel, who owns a custom motorcycle shop in a town known as Oyster Bay, Long Island, tells of how it came to be. “Bruce is always looking for a character bike,” he said. “I told him about our shop, so he came down in the middle of winter. It’s freezing—minus five degrees—and he wants to take out my Sacred Cow bobber. I said, ‘Are you crazy?’ It’s so cold, and he had no gear, just a helmet.”

Still, the weather and lack of apparel did not deter Springsteen from testing out the bike. “After a ride, he came back and said, ‘I want you to build me that bike.’” Joel continued. “So he gave us the specs, and we’re almost finished with it. It started out as a Kawasaki W650. The frame is black and the tank will be metalflake gold. Man, he’s hard core.”

Billy Joel’s love of motorcycles is nothing new. He’s been collecting bikes since the mid-1970s. In 1982, he was involved in a motorcycle accident when a driver ran a red light and hit him. In an ironic twist, the only damage the Piano Man suffered was to his hands – he shattered a bone in his left thumb and dislocated his right wrist.
