I saw a pic of Rihanna wearing a Hoods t-shirt in that movie. Guaranteed she doesn't know one Hoods song. Not gonna watch that crap.

the first 20 were pretty bad, after that, it was still bad, but still entertaining in a bad stupid movie way.

    Speaking of bad movies:

    Kitten with a Whip
Ann-Margret playing a ridiculously attractive reform school girl. She and a couple of her hep cat friends terrorize mild-mannered John Forsythe.
    Trashy fun.

Just watched half of The Master. Weird movie. Great acting performances by J. Phoenix and PS Hoffman.
Oscar nominated film....I dont think so.
It's not bad, just dont see the worthiness.

Have to totally agree. The Mrs and I went to see it at the cinema a couple of weeks ago, thought the same, weird movie but really well acted by the two main leads. Still had us both thinking and talking about it days afterwards so I guess that says something... The last half hour was not great at all though.

Yeah, I have about 45 mins to go. It was very slow in spots, but to be fair, i will see how the rest plays out.

What story? indeed. :| By the time I was half an hour in I thought I may as well just go to YouTube and watch random science/nature footage set to music. And then the only part I liked by the end was **SPOILER** that the totally unlikeable son died. Thank god. It was the most pretentious piece of shit I've ever forced myself to watch. And it was nominated for best picture! What the fuck!? Trying to make some kind of point Academy?? Fuck. :fp:

Agreed, it was very pretentious, but thats Terrence Mallick for you.

I long ago gave up on what the Academy thinks is best, sometimes they choose a film of merit, but they usually get the winners wrong. Not meaning to be down on America, but there are so many great films being made around the world better than most the stuff that comes out of Hollywood. I guess thats it, most the people in the Academy are from Hollywood, so they get to choose.

I wouldn't be too bothered about that Dr, last portion of that movie wasn't great.
