or a D*DGERS game, they would be playing the GIANTS and most likely trying to stay out of last place. :corn:

    fixed.

I'm back to working part time....went skiing last friday.....we are getting a sh*tload of snow...life is good.
If you're working again, you can go see the Who! :P

Are you back at the golf course? Doesn't seem like there would be much to do this time of year.

Glad to hear you've rejoined us working stiffs!

right after missoula, I went on a fly fishing retreat for guys who had or have cancer. the coolest guy I met was 45 years old and had a melanoma inside his mouth  . at the time, I thought he had this beat. yesterday, I got an email from him:

"The PET scan showed that the cancer has NOT spread to any other areas of my body. But the 3 original tumors have grown excessively. The largest tumor is 5 times the size it was 3 months ago. On top of that, 2 more tumors have been detected. So the doctors think I have about 6-9 months to live, with or without treatments. They have no evidence that further treatments would sustain my life. So I could die miserable going through treatments, or live a good quality life for the months I have left."

45 years old.....absolutely terrible  ....I will count my blessings.

I almost feel guilty about skiing and drinking beer yesterday. :shifty:

good luck to your friend. I did chemo for 6 weeks (24/7) and later for 24 weeks. it sucks....but it also can work.

Very sorry to learn this. He seems to have a good outlook. That kind of perspective always amazes me and makes me wonder how I'd respond in that kind of situation.

    hi Rob  !!

been a while since I have visited around here!

I am really sorry to hear about your friend. Norm and Kyle said it perfectly above me: FUCK CANCER!!! I am sure its hard (impossible?) for him to stay positive when the doctors are anything but; but it does sound like he's approaching it the best way he can: Enjoy life while we can--we never know what tomorrow brings whether we are sick or not.

The past year or so has been a whirlwind for me but I am happy to have access to the forums again at work and be able to check in more often :D

Thanks again for the christmas letter. It sounds like you had a great year and kept yourself busy! Wish I coulda made it to Missoula to see so many friends (yourself included) but it wasnt in the cards--too much time off of work for surgery and Europe tour last year (and too much money spent!). Stephen went and enjoyed himself- picked me up a couple nice things and went to the meet and greet- so those are great memories and pics he shared with me :)

    Are you coming to Wrigley??
    Makes much more sense...

Hey, you're feeling so good but you couldn't make it to a Who show? Not even to hear Quad? Or Vintage Trouble opening? Too busy skiing? Man, what a sense of priorities. :P ;)

I know you're probably right, but from what I saw at the super bowl and the sandy concert, the boys seemed a bit long in the tooth.

I agree with you on both of those but this Quad tour is AMAZING.

Anyway, I just have to give you some shit and fulfill your complaint that I turn every thread into a Who thread.
