Still checking for address. I'm looking into the one from 2008 and it may sill be correct, but not sure. I'm doing some digging.
It is listed as the same from a census I found, but no date on that.

Perhaps the one I posted from the Sniper has a forwarding address if it's not the one yeah? So, are we mobilizing to send something?

I sent something this morning Operation Yellow Ribbon of South Jersey related and if it doesn't bounce back to me, I will happily post here it didn't come back undeliverable. Fingers crossed...

Very sad for Tomas and his family. He's been through so much.
As the wife / caregiver of a disabled vet I know just a little about the despair when the prognosis is that it will only get worse. My hubby is not nearly as badly effected as Tomas though, I can't even imagine. I don't want to.

    Peace be upon him.

I wish Tomas Young knew the impact his story had on me and the impact No More War had on me. His story helped awaken me to supporting our Troops more and their families more. It made me realize I have stop living my life ignoring the fact that there are those making sacrifices so we all don't have to. I can only imagine and hope he knows that because of him, hopefully I and the people I volunteer with have brought smiles to thousands of those serving our great country. I wish he could know this...

and he should know, I don't know anyone that does more than you do David. It's inspiring!

God bless Tomas and the decision he has made. After all, it is his decision.
Don't come closer or I'll have to go

I speak for a man who gave for this land
took a bullet in the back for his pay
spilled his blood in the dirt and the dust
and he's come back to say

That what he has seen is hard to believe
and it does no good to just pray
he asks of us to stand, and we must
    end this war today

With his mind he's saying NO MORE
With his heart he's saying NO MORE
With his life he's saying NO MORE WAR
With his eyes he's saying NO MORE
With his body he's saying NO MORE
With his voice he's saying NO MORE WAR

Nothing's too good for a Veteran
yeh, this is the way they say
so nothing is what they will get
    in this new American way

The lies that were told to get us to go
were criminal, let us be straight
let's get to the point where our voices are heard
    behind the White House gate

With our minds we're saying NO MORE
With our hearts we're saying NO MORE
With our lives we're saying NO MORE WAR
With our eyes we're saying NO MORE
With our bodies we're saying NO MORE
With our voices we're saying NO MORE WAR

    No more innocents dying
    No more terrorizing
    No more eulogizing
    No more evangelizing
    No more Presidents lying
    No more war.

You aren't so bad yourself! ;)
We all play our part...there's so many great folks on here that I am blessed to know. Truly.

I wasn't sure how to post this since I don't know the person but I received a very nice email from a guest of these forums (not a member I do not think where they can post for themselves) and I wanted to wait a few days to see if my letter bounced back but this person was almost absolutely sure the address was still accurate. She did a lot of research to connect some dots to confirm her belief that the address is accurate. Unfortunately, I've frustrated her LOL that I haven't shared her belief that the address is correct so I apologize for that.

So please do go and write a letter, a poem, draw some art...something to wish Tomas well. We won't know unless we try and we have nothing to lose.
    Thanks

So far this is the only address we have. After some investigation it still seems valid. Will let people know if I get something back in the mail.

Another sad story of our goverment not taking care of our soldiers. Look at the soldier that killed Bin Laden as well!!! Oh and the soldiers that were injured in the Ft. Hood shooting and on and on and on!!! The lazy and the stupid in this country get more benefits then these men who gave limbs and then some for this country!! Why isn't Ed screaming from the rooftops about this???

  • That's really sad news.

I still haven't seen the film but one of my most powerful PJ concert experiences was "No More" at Nijmegen in 2007. The crowd for the most part had probably never heard the song before, and those of us who had could only have heard it a handful of times. Yet the power and intensity that audience invested in the song should make Tomas feel that his story (which most people there had probably just heard for the first time from Ed on stage) affected people thousands of miles away.

Even if the film made no material difference to the system, his story was worth telling, and what he did with his life after coming back was more than worth doing.

I hope he gets his wish of a peaceful death with the ones he loves.
