 Liquid lunch always works too
I tried that once- didn't work out so well.
I'll have lunch in a glass then, an Absolute bloody with extra lime, celery and olives. I'll know to bring a can of assorted nuts next time, maybe a beef jerky stick in my pocket too I like to share. 0 0

Whiskey- ah, 'tis the season for a little Southern Comfort to warm the belly! 8-)"It's a sad and beautiful world"-Roberto Benigni0

The lounge car, the last refuge of AMT where peace reigns, climate change has no effect and guns are not allowed. Oh, what a tiny place in which to hide from the fray. "It's a sad and beautiful world"-Roberto Benigni0 "It's a sad and beautiful world"-Roberto Benigni0

To true B. Usually I can go to the porch to hide out as well but they are all flipping out right now so I think I'll hang here. Too bad I can't imbibe until later Are we getting something out of this all-encompassing trip? Are we getting something out of this all-encompassing trip?
Seems my preconceptions are what should have been burned...

Just coffee for me. When I get the sense that guns are more lasting than peace, when I get the feeling that we are resigned to endless war, when I see that we the worlds people continue to spoil our nest with little thought for future generations, when a "thriving economy" and spending is more important than looking at the long-term viability of a healthy planet to live on, when all of this comes down and we say, "it just human nature", I get very frustrated.
But most of all, when I hear myself complain too much I know it's time to leave the room for a while. "It's a sad and beautiful world"-Roberto Benigni0 "It's a sad and beautiful world"-Roberto Benigni0

Going the Joni route this morning.
 Fitting, or no?
I'm always running behind the time
 Just like this train
 Shaking into town
 With the brakes complaining
 :P
About to try my hand at making calzone for the first time!
Good Saturday to you (wave to all my friends)0

 Good Saturday, Hedonist!
It's off to work for me. Looking forward to Saturday evening- dinner at my uncle-in-law's. He still has an interest in a few of El Dorado county's finest wineries so good wine with dinner tonight for sure! "On Drugs" reminds me of those old commercials. Which drugs were they, and how's the head this morning?
 Creepy avatar, by the way.

Oh hell yeah - sounds cozy, especially after (enviously) reading about your log home.Jeanwah wrote:Thinking of making some hot buttered rum on this cold snowy night...
I'm enjoying the green and sipping some brandy this rainy evening, and finally getting over the damned cold I've had all week.
 Happy weekend, folks!0

First time trying buttered rum, and it's incredibly delicious. And, yeah, the ambiance goes well with it! 0 0
