I've been a 10C member for quite some time now. The best perk of being part of 10C was the guarantee of tickets and seniority seating. The fact that they have gone to this lottery system in which I along with many other long time fans have been screwed worse then Brett Hart in Montreal is a travesty.
Go Back to a fair system where true long standing 10C members with accounts in good standing get the tickets.

unsung I stopped by on March 7 2024. First time in many years, had to update payment info. Hope all is well. Politicians suck. Bye. Posts: 9,487Member since early 1992, first show I've missed in Chicago. So much for loyalty.0 -
WTF is wrong with people thinking that they are "guaranteed" tickets through 10c?!?!?!? 10c NEVER guarantees tickets. It's a lottery. You lost. A lot of people lost. I lost. It sucks. I still think this is much better than the old piece of shit system.0

I'm sorry you lost but we have never been guaranteed tix. I am more than grateful that I no longer have to risk getting fired F5'ing for 3 days to try to get tickets to a rock concert.
You still have many other ways to get tickets and here's hoping more Canadian shows get added for 2013 so you can see them

Just curious...
What's the difference between you who has been a 10c member for "some time" and someone who has been a Pearl Jam fan longer than you, entered into the 10c for the first time hoping to get tickets, and got lucky?or you can come to terms and realize
you're the only one who can forgive yourself oh yeah...
makes much more sense to live in the present tense...

Love the Bret Hart reference. Its dead on!!!
I'm sure I will not be the first one to voice their displeasure with the new system nor the last. After years of loyalty to the 10 Club and spending lots of hard earned money on membership tickets and/or merchandise this new lottery system is the repayment? All other fan clubs of bands particularly those that come with a fee offer their membership exclusive access to pre-sale tickets. This was always the case before and I am unsure why it has now changed. With my analog membership I get the Deep magazine hard copy and PDF, a download, The Christmas vinyl and an annual gift. These are all nice benefits however none of them hold a candle to being able to buy tickets before anybody else with our membership. As mentioned before all other fan clubs offer its base the first opportunity to buy pre-sale tickets. Why this has now changed after so many years is hard to digest. I know before there were problems with the site crashing from overwhelming demand. However in this day and age is that not something that could be rectified? Could we not be given pre-sale passwords to use on sites such as Ticketmaster? Previously being a 10 Club member did not guarantee you tickets and it was a lottery of sorts to be able to get through to purchase them, but every 10 club member was given a shot and we were on equal playing field. Now for some reason it seems you are randomly picking who gets that shot from the member pool. It doesn't add up to me after over a decade or more of doing it the other way. And I find it very unfair. A wine gets better with age. The 10 Club is getting worst. I suspect some members will be lost as a result of this change. Every other band fan club ESPECIALLY those which require a fee offer it's member exclusive access to presale tickets whether you want them or are able to get them. That was once the glory of the fan club. Not anymore.......... I guess if we don't get tickets to the shows we would like to attend through regular public on-sales we will get gauged by scalpers and third party ticket re-sellers in an effort to see our favorite band. Before subscribing to the 10 Club helped to avoid this and did for years. Membership has it's advantages...... Yeah right......1. Toronto, Ontario 09-21-1996 (MAPLE LEAF GARDENS)

This is the fairest system, takes serves, internet connections, and everything out of the equation.
There has never been a guarantee for tickets. You've just been very lucky.Same Old Friend wrote:I've been a 10C member for quite some time now.
