So it was pretty cool last night. I was a little disapointed with the two hour premier that we did not get a big wedding feast scene afterwards. I thought the party would have been great fun to see.

Thomas continues to be a scumbag.

I wonder if bates will spend all of season 3 in prison?

I wonder of Bates killed his wife?? haha
Thomas! I didn't know you posted on this message board!

Something's going down with Bates and his roomie. I wonder what that little hand-off was that Bates caught?

Yeah i did not quite catch what was going on. I was wondering if he might kill the guy and get in trouble in prison for doing it or something.

I just can't believe the ending of the prolonged Christmas episode. I was soo disappointed, and sad.

  • I finished watching the third season...:cry::cry:
READ THIS ONLY IF YOU DON'T BOTHER SPOILERS... like me... in fact I saw the Christmas special before seeing the whole season, well I was in UK and I watch it with my mother-in-law, exactly like Christmas 2011, couldn't just go away, I enjoyed the episode so much even if I wasn't that touched by the final tragedy... Now, I managed to watch the three seasons without a break & I'm so destroyed. I can't believe it. I can't imagine how the things will develop after the terrible special...

    Digging Season 3 thus far.

Does this show air overseas before it airs here? How have some of you already finished the season?

Let me remind everyone that Lady Sybil is smoking hot.

It depends on the country. In France, it hasn't even started but in the Uk, the last episode was aired on December the 25th (Christmas special) after a short break (episode 8 was aired the 4th of November).

Anybody else a fan? Finally got into this last week, had a marathon of the first season thanks to Netflix, and just have to watch episode 3 of this season before the fourth episode airs on Sunday :)

It makes me think of the shows my mom and I would love watching together, like the old Sherlock Holmes series with Jeremy Brett, Poirot, all those cool mystery shows. She had a soft spot for period pieces like this, so besides the fact I enjoy it, makes me feel a little close to her too :)

I started watching this series on Netflix this week. There were only seven episodes (season one) so now I'm wondering how it will turn out in the next season!

I'll have to watch it on PBS to see how the story is moving along. :)

It's like a modern version of Upstairs/Downstairs which is a series I watched on Netflix a while ago!

    lol
that was some cold shit mary said to edith when she asked if they could move forward and make things better in front of their dead sister and mary drops the " um no bitch things will never be good between us but we can hug now"

Outside of that letter that edith wrote to the embessy about mary which was pretty unvforgivable i kind of like her. She hasn't done anything else really that was so terrible.

Edith is the ignored sister, the one with a minority complex, between a young "rebellious", beautiful, smart sister, and MARY (oh yeah, she can be so bitchy), the unreachable one, the one who carries an immense responsibility for Downton future. Sybil will always be present, through her daughter & Tom who – I guess – will play a very important role in the 4th season? Who knows...

I had no clue it was a two hour episode. I hit 10 pm and was like hmm it doesn't seem close to wrapping up.

I really did not like the gay guy. He is a backstabbing prick. I wish they got rid of him for good. Some good stuff in this episode though! Can't believe next week is the christmas episode/final

The second hour was surprising. This is the only TV that I try to watch each week. :corn:
