I'm hoping the tour will be in the later fall. I worked in a place with only a few people, so only one of us can be on Vacation at any given point. Someone already has the first 3 weeks of September booked off :(

No one. Go 2.5 to 3 hours every night. PJ would be fine with no opener.

Agree. Although these days it seems like most of the shows are 2.5 hours, or pretty close to that... so maybe they feel like they're giving us a free bonus by having an opening band too.

Gary Clark Jr. would be badass but he seems a little too "talented" to open for Pearl Jam. I have not been a fan of most of the openers I've seen them have, but I did get into Band Of Horses after seeing them open in 2010. Also like but haven't seen as openers (seen them on their own):
    Bad Religion
    Social D

Lucky enough to see the Ramones open in 95.

I'd be good with Ben Harper too.

Lucky to see Ben open up in Charlotte 1996. Would love to see him again...
  • The Stone Foxes
    J Roddy and the Business
    Gary Clark Jr.

I'll 2nd the vote for J Roddy and add Local H and Vintage Trouble.
  • Im all for "an evening with" and no opener. Saw Wilco on "an evening with" show. Clocked in about 3hrs. PJ can pull it off for sure. Maybe an Acoustic set to start like Mansfield III 2003. Mmm. That sounds nice :D

But if we have an opener I vote for

    The Strokes
    Them Crooked Vultures
    Queens of the Stone Age

Worst part about not going to PJ20 was missing out on QOTSA and The Strokes :( . Ive seen QOTSA a few times already tho, so The Strokes or Vultures get a higher vote.

I for one would love to see openers at every show. They have really turned me on to so many great bands over the years/tours. For example, Bad Religion, The Frogs, Supergrass, the list can go on and on. I'd love to see them go harder though. Venture into Mastodon territory. I know Jeff loves them. I'd love to see Baroness once they're healthy.

    Agreed Baroness are awesome.

State Radio or Dispatch (anything Chad Stokes related). But as long as no more Mudhoney, I'll take anything.

    +1

Also, as people have said, Gaslight would be great.

I know this is probably out of left field, but the Deftones would be great to see. They have stepped up a notch with the last two albums. With that being said it would also be nice to see Gaslight, The Black Keys.
