I think PJ will close Lollapalooza on Aug 4, then play Wrigley on Aug 5. Cubs host the Dodgers Aug 1-4, so Wrigley is open the 5th. Chicago is a great place to visit, especially Wrigley. No Sox fans allowed in though.
I wish I was a radio song, the one that you turned up
Lolla wouldn't let them play Chicago right after the festival like that. Standard with all festivals to have a radius clause that precludes a band, especially a headliner, from playing the area in the months before or after a festival.
Even Jane's Addiction themselves dropped off the Chicago NIN/JA tour stop in May of '09 since they were going to play Lolla in August.

Does anyone really think Pearl Jam can come close to selling out Wrigley field? I'm wondering if there will be a major co-headliner or opener. I sadly think the only way they can come close to getting the ticket sales they want is if they don't tour anywhere else close by. I hope I am wrong.
Either way I will be there.

They need a couple days before and after to set up and break down all the equipment and make sure the grass is ok to play on

The Chicago market plus all of us traveling types will put a lot of butts in the seats. I'm not worried about this.
Does anyone really think Pearl Jam can not sell out Wrigley field? I'm wondering if there will be a major co-headliner or opener. I sadly think the only way they can come close to getting the ticket sales they want is if they play a good set-list and put on a great live show as usual. I hope I am wrong.
Either way I will be there.
Fixed that for ya.
They will sell it out, major co-headliner or not.

I actually assumed this would be a one-off, not part of a larger tour, which I would expect to come later in the year than this show.... Does everyone expect this to become part of a larger tour?

Well it was a nice dream anyway. Time for reality I guess. Will have to stay tuned. I'm going to Chicago whenever they play.

Good edit. I need someone to slap me across the face for being a pessimist.

I believe it's headed by Roger, LukinFan-somebody correct me if I am wrong.
The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun.
