    When my brother and I were kids we though Invisible Touch by Genesis was saying “busy bones”
    Couldn’t figure out why this lady had a busy bones touch or what the hell it meant but we loved the song

    I´m Swedish so a lot of the time I hear stuff that´s not really there :mrgreen: … Like in “Alive” I´ve always sang along: “Oooohhhh I´m staying alive …ooohhh I´m staying alive”, which gives it a quite horrible Bee Gees vibe. :shock: I´ve also had enormous trouble with Yellow Ledbetter. Then it turned out that even the Americans had a hard time understanding the lyrics, nobody seems to know what the f*ck is going on in that song … not even Eddie himself :lol: On FB there´s a whole fan page called “Inaudible sounds of Eddie Vedder”. Quite a challenge to decipher those status updates. :mrgreen:

    I took my wife to see PJ and Tom Petty in St Paul back in '06.
    The bill was a perfect fit. PJ for me and a staple of classic rock for her.
    She had never seen either band before and we were really looking forward to an awesome show.
    Anyway, Pearl Jam came out and did their thing.
    I loved every second of it.
    They left the stage and the lights came up.
    I asked her what she thought.
    She said "it sucked".

    I was floored. "Are you kidding me?! What are you talking about?"
    She said "They didn't play any songs I knew."
    How could she not know any of the songs they just played?! I didn't remember meeting her under a rock.
    I started recapping the set list.
    She said "Yeah, but they didn't play Into the great wide open or mary jane's last dance or don't come around here no more or american girl..."
    I had to interrupt, "Well, yeah, those are Tom Petty songs. why would they... wait a minute..."
    Then it clicks.

    The whole time Pearl Jam was on stage, she thought it was Tom Petty.

    I've heard of misheard lyrics, but mis-seen bands was a new thing for me.

    We've since been divorced due to bigger, badder things that came down the road, but I'd be lying if I said this one wasn't at least in the back of my mind.

    My ex girlfriend thought at the end of black where Ed is going tatooed all that i see, he was saying tattoed on that HI-C. Like the drink. IDK where she got that from.
