So are you saying that only 9 people will get an e-mail saying congrats you got a pair of tickets to Mercury - or elsewhere (as opposed to your name didn't get get drawn for the tix)? If so, what is the point of this exercise? I thought this was supposed to mirror a real tour lottery with potentially hundreds of names being picked randomly and the site working as if 'for real', ie your 'My Ticket's would show a good number of 10C members with tickets.Post edited by redrock on0 -

There was a degree of persistance. Sometimes (PJ20) lasting many many hours. There were also various tricks that would give you a better shot, such as clearing your temp internet files, figuring out the furthest page in the string where the tickets would be, knowing where the BUY button would be located, and using the best browser.
i have slow internet, why someone else will have better chances than me.?.
someone is expert at browser,im not,i know only explorer
i wear 10 different eyeglasses, till i change them to find where the buy button is ,the page frozen or are sold out..

It isn't mirroring a real tour, because on a real tour every fan club member doesn't enter for every show. This seems to be a test of the system that we helped them with, and they offered some prizes to get people motivated to help.6/26/98, 8/17/00, 10/8/00, 12/8/02, 12/9/02, 4/25/03, 5/28/03, 6/1/03, 6/3/03, 6/5/03, 6/6/03, 6/12/03, 6/13/03, 6/15/03, 6/18/03, 6/21/03, 6/22/03, 7/12/03, 7/14/03, 10/3/04, 10/5/04, 9/9/05, 9/11/05, 9/16/05, 5/16/06, 5/17/06, 5/19/06, 6/30/06, 7/23/06, 8/5/07, 6/30/08, 8/23/09, 8/24/09, 5/4/10, 5/7/10, 9/3/11, 9/4/11, 10/11/13, 10/17/14, 8/20/160 -

I enjoyed meeting you in Toronto last year, now neither of us will have tickets. I understand what your saying, and itll work better for Grand Rapids, but for any major city, were all now looking at a 10% shot at tix.0 -
dimitrispearljam wrote:JOEJOEJOE wrote:Not sure why people think the lottery will cause a huge increase in demand for 10C tix.
East coast/Chicago dates will still be the most difficult to get, and based on current history, 10C tickets for most other cities will be easily had.
Instead of the F5 lottery played by people who are at a computer during onsales, everyone now has the opportunity to enter a lottery. Has anything else really changed?
there is no serious argument that proves the f5 is better..its not..
again..all 10c tix will go to 10c members..well..not to always the same now..
even i try to score always more than one show, and now will be hard,to impossible,im ok..
more different members get them..but members..great
but it also makes me wonder how many scalpers will sign up for a digital membership just to enter the lottery.
They could also get an analog membership and flip all the goodies like the Deep mag and vinyl single, or any other 'goodies' that are available to members. The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun.

I agree that this is better. Expecting someone to spend hours trying to get a web site to load is ridiculous. We all did it, but it's not ideal and the persistence of the F5 way could still get you shut out. At least this way it's easy to enter and doesn't take a lot of time.2003: San Antonio, Houston, Dallas, Seattle; 2005: Monterrey; 2006: Chicago 1 & 2, Grand Rapids, Cleveland, Detroit; 2008: West Palm Beach, Tampa; 2009: Austin, LA 3 & 4, San Diego; 2010: Kansas City, St. Louis, Columbus, Indianapolis; 2011: PJ20 1 & 2; 2012: Missoula; 2013: Dallas, Oklahoma City, Seattle; 2014: Tulsa; 2016: Columbia, New York City 1 & 2; 2018: London, Seattle 1 & 2; 2021: Ohana; 2022: Oklahoma City0 -

I don't think your chances are less. People in major PJ markets still got shut out before and people will still get shut out now. This at least makes the process easier and less frustrating.2003: San Antonio, Houston, Dallas, Seattle; 2005: Monterrey; 2006: Chicago 1 & 2, Grand Rapids, Cleveland, Detroit; 2008: West Palm Beach, Tampa; 2009: Austin, LA 3 & 4, San Diego; 2010: Kansas City, St. Louis, Columbus, Indianapolis; 2011: PJ20 1 & 2; 2012: Missoula; 2013: Dallas, Oklahoma City, Seattle; 2014: Tulsa; 2016: Columbia, New York City 1 & 2; 2018: London, Seattle 1 & 2; 2021: Ohana; 2022: Oklahoma City0 -

But then they would still have to show up with their own ID to pick up the tix and not know where their seats were until day of show.___________________________________________

If we still have to pick up our tickets at will call and don't know the location of the tickets beforehand I don't thinks calpers would be able to sell them..or at least would have a very difficult time doing so. Other than the onsale method, I think everything else is remaining the same.2003: San Antonio, Houston, Dallas, Seattle; 2005: Monterrey; 2006: Chicago 1 & 2, Grand Rapids, Cleveland, Detroit; 2008: West Palm Beach, Tampa; 2009: Austin, LA 3 & 4, San Diego; 2010: Kansas City, St. Louis, Columbus, Indianapolis; 2011: PJ20 1 & 2; 2012: Missoula; 2013: Dallas, Oklahoma City, Seattle; 2014: Tulsa; 2016: Columbia, New York City 1 & 2; 2018: London, Seattle 1 & 2; 2021: Ohana; 2022: Oklahoma City0 -

Thats just not true. Ive never been shut out, because i NEVER gave up til i got them. I went to all 4 phily shows, every garden show since 94....now I can go to 10% of the shows and you think this is close to the same? I think its HORRIBLE. A guy can sign up tomorrow, and have the same shot at tix as a 20 year member.0

0-8. Got shut out. Gutted. ISO: anything in the building for Gotham City. There's no need to say goodbye0
