Everyone that tried for 10club tickets lost. Accept for 9 lucky folks. They received emails that they scored a ticket. They would be receiving an email shortly on what prize they have one.

    I didn't win a benny,
    lol!!!!!!
    that's what I really wanted,

    Hey D! :corn:
what's this? PJ stuff to post about?
now, if we could get a new record, longer than 33 minutes, ahem::::with that blasted, effn' track that apparently has a Motorhead flavor, why oh why did you torture us with that bit of information so many months ago, stone?:::,
    and a tour,
with not 1, but 2 legs, we can put this tix pup to the test.

    I didn't win either.....congrats to the winners!

  • This thread is funny....firstly I think it doesnt matter to the test if they send confirmation emails to lots of people. Presumably they have a set allocation of tickets for each show....in this case 1 per show. the system then randomly allocates the tickets to those who have entered...in this case 1 per show. All they have to know is that the successful email went out and the unsuccessful email went out :)

In terms of the lottery being less fortunate to those who have been members for years and years. I have loved Pearl Jam since they started. Unfortunately I am from Ireland and that was before the internet was invented....as a result I didnt know the Ten Club existed. I dont think that should mean I have a lesser chance of tickets.

If you have seen Pearl Jam 50 times....maybe its time to let someone who has never seen them before have a ticket. The number of shows you've been to cant be taken as a measure of being more or less of a fan....at the end of the day .... its whether you love the music and represent the values of the band that makes you the better fan.... Pearl Jam have always been about good music and looking after each other...so lets not begrudge each other the chance of tickets and be happy that someone gets to appreciate them even if its not you or me on this occassion.....

I get rocket sick anyway so probably just aswell I missed out this time ;)

Whats up with the download.zip file at the end of the Feedback form?

I got the same thing. Clicked it, nothing downloaded. Nothing really even happened. Not even a knock at the door saying "congrats, you've just won a Benny"

  • What us northeastern US & other high demand areas like Chicago have to do is, line up a reliable ticket buddy or 2.

So you have two sets or more people going for tickets that you will share your other ticket with. And have them choose opposite of what you choose as your priorities for the shows. This way its essentially like you are in the lottery twice.

My number 167xxx. So I will be looking for a reliable tour ticket buddy that lives in the northeast and likes to hit up Boston, Hartford, Albany, New York City, Philly. Possibly DC. Or maybe 2 buddys if one buddy cant hit up all the shows.

I was not picked for any of them. The airfare to Mars was ridiculous though so probably a good thing.
  • Hello

I signed up for all three shows and did not get selected for any. I am totally not liking this new system. I have been to many shows and have always been able to get my tickets through my 10C membership. If I am not going to be able to do that in the future then why bother pay 50 USD a year. I think this new system is not so good

in REAL tour the tickets will be a couple of thousands and the members will enter the draw will be ONLY the ones want to go to the specific show..

    Hello

It does, thanks. I just hope I will still be able to get tickets come real tour time. If this was a test they should have made it like a real onsale having 2000 of us get "you were selected messages" instead of only 9 getting that message. It has kind of given the wrong message about the new system.

    Thanks for the reply.

    hi
    Christie
they made a test..so,i dont know why they use to draw only 9 winners..
probably cos they want to make it cool with the prizes..
they wanted to see how the system works probabvly technically and get feedback from fans..
i guess,to see this in action, must know, specific venue, specific available tic,how many shows will be the whole tour..
will be cool to see your idea, tested to 2000 people, but i guess they want to see how the draw will go,and not the number of people will win..
lets wait now for real tour!!!!
hope u score next time you try

I agree they gave everyone a "NO" answer. It is of no benefit to know if you got tickets or not. This was not a realistic drawing since everyone was entering for every show, so no result was going to be realistic. Better to tell everyone no then give some fake tickets and others who didn't get them be pissed at the system.

That's pretty much what WE ALL thought it was gonna be. Yes we knew about the lucky 9, but thought least this test folks received an email that they scored "a" pair of tickets, to maybe Metropolis or Mars, or something ..

Step 7: You are all done. On Monday, January 14th at 10am Pacific the ticket drawing will close. Once names have been drawn the “My Tickets” page will be updated to show which shows your name has been drawn for. Also, you will receive an email confirming that info along with a feedback form. Please be sure to fill this out and let your voice be heard!

Today was a let down to all who tried this test. Accept to the lucky 9 who scored sweet PJ candy!!

This is a funny thread. It was a system test. Seemed to work pretty well.
    Congrats to the lucky winners!

Simple fact of the matter is that the 10c and probably the band want as many members to get 10c tix to at least one show. This system allows that to happen. I guess I cant plan on getting 10c tix for the 4-6 shows like I used to. Oh well. I will adapt and overcome. It really isn't that big of a deal.

What us northeastern US & other high demand areas like Chicago have to do is, line up a reliable ticket buddy or 2.

This is the part about the new system that bums me out the most. In reply to an emailed question, the Ten Club cited Boston, New York, and Philly as examples of higher demand markets where members could only enter for 1 night of a 2 night run. Most of the fun for me has been taking various friends and family to a number of shows in various cities over the years. I've seen about 35 shows and taken 25-30 different people to them so far. I'd much rather share that experience than hustle to line up mutual connections and hit more shows for the sake of more shows.

I don't see what about that is so shocking. Here in Los Angeles, in 2009, when there were four shows at Universal, we were limited to one fan club show because Universal is a small venue. It's nothing new and nothing to do with the lottery.

Having said that, I still saw all four shows from the first 10 rows. Traded my one Universal night with another fan, traded my extra SD ticket for another show at Universal, and bought the fourth night off of Ticketmaster.

okay wouldn't it make sense that we all received loser so we do not get charged? The real winners are drawn later....so lets look at this for what it was, an entry to a lottery, nothing guaranteed, and no system crashes and f5 till you bleed incidents.

So a success is all we can see it as, anyone who won, literally won the lottery, everyone else was a test subject getting nothing but the proverbial pat on your back for helping out the cause, GREAT WORK EVERYONE!!!! At least we all lost together like proper tenclub seating affords us, a space in an experience together.

I think I've been shut out of all the shows which sounds about right considering my lousy luck, which this appears based upon, that has haunted my miserable miserable existence. I do love the 10 club with all my heart and truly hope clarification will come soon to this stupid loser

Nah, nobody is that worked up, I think it's more mass confusion that someone could be shut out of every alleged show. It just seems strange.

so true- does it really matter what the band does, won't we bitch regardless?
  • Just think how exciting this could've been if they sent out prizes corresponding to venue size/ticket allotment. for example a sticker to each person confirmed but kept those 9 prizes also so you think you are getting a benny but really getting a sticker! lol
