I didn't get selected for either tour. I know this is a test. But I might as well get used to this email living in the northeast.

Yes

"..That's One Happy Fuckin Ghost.."
“..That came up on the Pillow Case...This is for the Greek, With Our Apologies.....”
So they are only drawing 9 winners, seems odd, I thought they'd do a drawing for something like 1500 sets of tix per show so everyone could get a feel of what the lottery process, win or lose, would be like.
under EV all 4 say "LOST" but under the PJ and Amongst they each still say "ENTERED" - i wonder if thats good considering most ppl says LOST for PJ tour. prolly not tho lol

the odds of winning tix were 10/100,000+ so i wouldnt discredit the system completely. a real system would be 25,000/100,000+ so odds are a bit better but still not great. i'd rather be in control of my own destiny. if i get shut out on up to 3 dates on the next tour i may consider cancelling my membership, but first they gotta tour which could be a while
Your numbers are way off the mark. The average American show, you have a much higher shot than 25% to get tickets. We know this because many shows don't even sell out the 10C allotment or take more than a day to sell out.
Pretty much you are going to have near a 100% chance of your first choice except for very select markets like NYC and a few others. Of course, that makes the lottery system no different than the old system.
Basically this new system does one thing, it makes the process easier for those people who live in high demand markets and were dealing with the ridiculous issues the 10C was having in putting tickets on sale.
so anyone who gets tickets automatically gets a prize? don't get me wrong, I'm happy for the people who won one of the items, but I would've liked a "real" lottery test, one that gives us an actual idea as to how likely we are to get tickets.
btw, jess will give me his spare..im in for Mars standing floor

how can you honestly say you know this to be true? you dont know how many active 10 Clubbers there are. granted the sample size wouldnt be all (just those who enter for that particular show) but you also dont know the # of tix alotted to members. and because tix come in pairs that cuts the # of total tix/seats in half. thus, your chances as well. most venues have 40-60 thousand seats so im even just guessing that more than 50% is alotted to the fan club. my estimations are just that. but you think you have a basis for accuracy?
btw, my market is the NYC market b/c i live in CT/Northeast so Philly/NYC/Hartford is where I typically go and since those are often easy sell-outs - im saying its possible the lottery will fail those in this area. Not traveling to OH or KY to see a show - that would be a shoe-in

Yes, I think fewer people would find it discouraging if they had done it that way. Even though the tickets would be imaginary.

we saw that in previous sales ..some areas dont sell out right away like northeast..

Monday,January 14th 10am Pacific. The Ticket test is now offline and the drawing entry period has closed. Nine names will be selected to win the merchandise prizes. All other entries will receive an email confirming they were not selected and the authorizations will be canceled releasing funds back to credit cards. Please be sure to fill out the feedback form.

It would be impossible to do that. Until it's a real tour and credit cards are being charged for real dollar amounts, you have no way of knowing how thousands of people would handle the quantity of shows to put in for.
ok so likely fair to assume that any winner is a prize winner?
Yes
As far as I read it, after all the tickets are drawn, there will be another draw for one person per gig. So everyone's name back in the hat for the merch, not just ticket winnners.
" Win Some Rare Merch!
To make this fun, we have included some rare hard-to-find merchandise items that will be given away during the test drawing. Once the drawing entry period has ended, the new ticket system will randomly draw one name for each of the 8 shows entered. Of those 8 winners, each will receive one of the merchandise items listed below assigned at random. "
The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun.

too many factors involved. How many shows, how many in proximity. Day of the week. Population, etc....
A one off show in MSG on a Saturday night is much different than a Tuesday night show in Cleveland in a 25 stop US tour.
I dont think they can simulate the exact ratios. Especially if everyone is encouraged to enter all the shows.
you are right..
seems to me,the test is 10c to see how it works,technically..
when u dont know where the show will happen, how many shows, which continent ,how many show a member will try to score, the priority he choose etc,you just can say,its easy or difficult to score tix..
