    Wow~ Just wow! What a difference 5 years makes! I think I probably had a drink after posting that and haven't stopped since! Fortunately, I don't get crazy anymore, but there was a period of a year and a half where shit just wasn't healthy!

    12th March 2003 was when I last had a drink, so two days short of ten years right now!

    That date was two days before I passed my driving test, too. I know the date, as I went to see some bands that night, and I keep a record of all the bands I see. I never used to drink much before then, and combined with my new found driving licence, I found it easier not to bother drinking. :thumbup:

    Congrats on the anniversary! I don't remember the date but my last drink was my college graduation in may of 1998. It was threatening to take me over. I've watched it ruin family members and know that I don't have that ability to moderate. I decided to be done and haven't missed it a bit. I applaud all of who have stayed sober. It's definitely not an easy accomplishment to achieve or maintain :clap:

    it will work. Last year I managed to drop 65 pounds. All I did was stopped drinking beer and soda pop completely, and cut way back on my salt intake. I didn't work out, nor did I starve myself....ate a lot of crappy food still but still lost. Good luck with it.

    Now I know it's my Thyroid! I quit 4 years in July and I've gained instead of lost! :x
