I love this logic and sincerely hope you're right.
Also, theis show sold out in 9 minutes. If the band know that, the n they might might be thinking "Oh they're all so hardcore in Ireland. Lets give 'em a treat" :D

do you think they are aware of things like that? that would be awesome
has there been anything else on the support act? 3 hours of pearl jam anyone?

I think if any shows will have a generic hits heavy set list then it will be the Reading and Leeds shows. They'll be shorter shows, probably about 75 - 90 minute sets so it'll be new stuff and the biggies (even flow, alive, betterman etc).

Which means that at Dublin they may take a few chances....maybe even road testing some songs they haven't played in a while for inclusion in the tour later....like Deep (please!!!) or Mankind (Please, Please!!!!!!)

75 minutes would be quite short for a headline act. I'm not sure what Leeds/Reading headliners usually get but I think it will likely be 90-105 minutes. Still not an entire PJ show but enough for a regular set plus one encore.

As for the other shows, I think Verona will be incredible. I'm hoping Bern will be a sleeper... one of the best Pearl Jam shows I've ever heard was in Switzerland in 92.

I'm only going off how long the headliners used to play at Leeds and Reading in years gone by. The Friday and Saturday headliners had about 75 minutes while the Sunday night headliner had 90. The last time i went to Leeds or Reading though was in 1999 so things may well have changed.

PJ were certainly aware of how quick the Astoria sold out but then I guess that was to be expected. I reckon they will know if a show sold out very quickly.

dublin- they want to scream hello again...1st euro stop after 6 years.
reading- eddie wants to make up for their last reading show...beside they are closing a 3 day festival.
lisbon- sand and surf city with 2 shows...an epic.
italia- take a pick...highlights will be legendary verona and mysterious pistoia.

i pray to God that i'll still be alive for all these shows.

i really hope dublin is a great show... Its the first 'proper' show in europe in 6 years and also its before two festival dates, so PJ would probably also be in the mood to rock-out a bit! Oh and Pj or at least eddie may be here for a few days before the show seeing as Ireland is the popular tourist destination that it is and they'll have the time to see it. The west coast is also famous for its waves/surfing so maybe that will put eddie in a good mood for the show!

Anyway all i can do is hope!
    JUST PLAY THE F***ING NOTE!!!

i was taling to my mate about this a few days ago and even they "only" play a 25 song set i'd still be happy i don't expect it to be a really long set at all.

well the 2000 gig didnt seem to be that long in dublin either!!! i really
do wish however that if (???!!) i get a ticket that they'll play as long
as the last date on the 2000 tour in seattle and the pen state gig in
2002/3....as i own both live albums and they both 3 cd's long!!! fuck
that was a long winded way of gettin my point across!!!

(i'd help you if i could)

but there is no way the dublin gig will be as long as either of those two they were once off gigs, most shows are clocking at about 2hrs 20mins (give or take 10mins) but because dublin is the first show of the tour i doubt they will be on for a really long time.

(i would like to point out that i am doing my best to not hope fort a long set because a) if they do play a shorter set i won't be disapointted and b ) if they do play a long set i will be the happiest guy in the place!!!!!)
