im not ready to see lovie go. he's a good defensive coach and i dont see anyone that can coach that much better than him. we'll find out tomorrow im sure. good year but very disappointing. it reminded me of this year's white sox team.

Yeah, Tice is going to have a hard time in the next couple of weeks if the Bears don't make the playoffs. Lovie will likely be safe no matter what...sadly.

I still would like the Bears to get rid of Smith and bring in Bill Cowher.
Bill cowher is nowhere near dumb enough to take that job....

Missing the playoffs 5 out of the last 6 years just isn't good enough. 3 playoff wins in 9 years just isn't good enough. It's time for a change.

    Fuckers!

    Probably.

But, the Bears deserve everything that they got. They never should have been in the position that they were in yesterday. What a fucking mess.

Those million dollar athletes, who play for the Chicago Bears, will all be on planes traveling to the Bahamas, Hawaii, Europe, Mexico, etc, in the next few days.
I am over and done thinking about what happened yesterday.

    Bring on the Super Bowl.

Glad to see a new era at Halas Hall. No more accepting this mediocrity.

The Packer loss ended up having huge ramifications. If GB wins, regardless of what CHI does in the playoffs Lovie's not getting fired. As a Packer fan that loss pisses me off even more. It changed the landscape of the division, and probably not for the better for the Packers.

It will be interesting to see who they replace Lovie with. I believe the Bears still need to pay him $5 million next year. Whoever they hire is probably going to want at least that amount. The Bears are going to have a lot of $$ tied up in coaches.

I don't know about that. Even if the Bears did get in the playoffs, they probably would have gotten their asses kicked by the 49ers. I think he may have been fired if that happened. Who knows. I'm just happy for a change.

True. But if Lovie wants to coach next year, I'm sure there will be plenty of teams interested in him. So then wouldn't the Bears only be responsible for the difference in salary if there is one?

You are right. The Bears would only owe Lovie what is not covered by another team.
