    Apparently in Hawaii there was a surfer, way back when, named Eddie, who would go surfing in conditions when nobody else would. For me, I tend to be one who puts fun things off for another time. So when the last solo tour came along, I thought about the 8 hour drive and leaving my family on their own and I was thinking "Noooo" and then I thought "Life is too short, and 'Eddie would go' " , picturing our man here. Best decision I ever made. :D

    Oh oceaninmyeyes I had the same experience with eddie solo this year! The rest if you will remember. I live in nj and I flew to Tulsa (the first time away from my kids ever and my oldest is 13 and youngest 5) to meet my brother and see eddie. It was the best thing I have ever done for myself but took a lot of soul searching to do it. Fortunately I have the best hubby and kids who all urged me to go. The show was unreal and I got to stand in line and shake you know who's hand (his eyes really are that blue). No regrets!

    No need to save up on life.... You've got to spend it all!!!

    Jen - My first time away from the kids too. I have two boys, 14 &9. And none of them, including the hubby get the whole Pearl Jam thing. Which is why I spend a lot of time in this support group, I guess. :lol: My dear friend who went with me gets it though. So we are planning to do it again given the opportunity. Definitely no regrets! And I was thinking, if we could somehow combine your looking into his blue eyes and Whispering Hands smelling him and my embracing him, we would have quite an experience there. :crazy: :shock: :oops:
