HOLY FUCK....I nearly threw up just then.....
One of the main things my hubby does for a living is working with asbestos. WTF told you that would be ok/safe?

um....well Kaine said there was only one panel that was asbestos and he reckons its only dangerous when you breathe it in...so me and the kids went out and came back when he was finished and I vacuumed and mopped all the gyprock powder up...i dont think there was much asbestos in there.
You see, our house is part gyprock/hardiflex and some of it is asbestos. My hubby is a carpenter/builder so i kinda just trust his judgement.
Im kinda worried now though!
Please dont vomit!

Sorry...I didn't mean to freak you out....but OMG!!
it doesn't matter if it's a piece an inch square - it's still bad stuff.
Don't freak though.....I'm sure your hubby knows what he's doing if he's in the building trade
Let's put it this way, for my hubby to do his job, he has to wear disposable everything (overalls that cover his whole body head to toe, jocks - the lot! all disposable) and a special mask...whatever they're working on has to be contained in what they call a bubble and constantly vacuumed with a special vacuum. If they leave that bubble for lunch, smoko whatever....they have to strip off and go through this shower thing and all the disposable clothing disposed of in bags.
From what I know....the stuff you have to REALLY worry about (it's all dangerous) are the airborn fibres - they're microscopic. So even you vacuuming and mopping has probably just dispersed them. So yeah...it is only dangerous if you breath it in - the fibres are barbed and they cannot be removed from your lungs etc; - but if it's not all gone.....it can be dispersed into the air very easily.
I'm not trying to scare you and I feel bad telling you all this, but you need to know in case you do any future renovations, how serious this shit is. It's fucked!

That sounds like a pretty full on job your hubby has!!! My god!
Actually, we were talking to some friends of ours today about the risks of working with asbestos. My friends old boss has only a few months to live because he used to work in Wittenoom (?) and now has Asbestosis.
Anyway, Kaine wante us all out of the house today so we wouldnt be in the direct firing line of these fibres etc...but then he wears NO MASK and NO SAFETY GLASSES!!!!!
This I cant understand!!!!
You are probably freaking out right now, as am I...but I cant tell my husband anything!
I say...wear a mask, youre not invincible...he says, oh i'll be right!
Fucken idiot!

Yeah it is full on....but he's known as the Asbestos Guru LOL! and is super knowledgable on it and overly (if that's possible) safety concious....hence he ends up getting sent all over the place to do these jobs. He'll be in Townsville for maybe 5 years doing this job :(
That poor man with asbestosis :( Its a dradful, DREADFUL way to go :(
Alady that used to live down the road passed away a few years ago from Mesothelioma. Her hubby also died of it years ago. Aparently she got it from washing his work clothes, which had fibres on them.

Morning all! hope you had a great weekend. i just worked as always.
Markets were packed of screaming little triathlete kids and the their plebby, rude parents who kept touching things and ignoring me all morning. There were thousands of them. Had to keep a super keen eye out to make sure nothing was pinched! But all ok!

I dont think there is......
Perhaps they might do a Dvd of all the shows....
Its sounds like they have been pretty strict with cameras and that...perhaps that is why..
No boots that I know of?????
They've been really strict on cameras and recording at the shows - threatening to confiscate and escort from the premises.
If there are any boots, they won't be found on the message pit.
I am REALLY confident there will be some AND a DVD!!! With the way the youtubes have been getting taken off so quickly - copyright of ten club.
Did Ed play at Santa Babara? I swear I read Rod say "the SB boot sounds great" or am I confusing it with a SB Pearl Jam gig
Yeah he's played SB.....Rob may have said the show sounded great as far as reading the reviews and set list....but no boots to my knowledge.....and trust me, I've looked
