LMFAO!!!
When I started typing my post about heading for a ciggy, I didn't realize how close it was.
Made my coffee and as I walked past quickly posted the 'blushing' emot; thinking I was too late

Have u seen the Carousel at Luna Park Melb,
Patricia Mullins that illustrates in Childrens books, I think she did the pics in Possumm Magic, She fully restored that Carousel.....its amazing....
i have nooo idea  pretty sure mine is the version from some year in the 30's
I think I'll try for the 1911 one. My Gran was born in 1909 so would be interesting to see what was going on around then.
I'm the same as you....that kind of thing fascinates me.....seeing what they did way back then. It's hard to imagine anyone going along with some of the methods etc used back then
It makes me wonder how different it'll be in another 100 years.....will people be reading similar books (or on the net) about how medicine was practiced in our time and will the medical practices and beliefs of today seem as archaic and bazaar as some of the things in the early 1900's seem to us??
Im sure JB had those dvd's for about 10 bucks around chrissy time...:)
That's all I've got we were prolly the last people on earth to go DVD I don't think we got our first DVD player til about 4/5 years ago and that was only cuz the family wanted us to get with the times and bought us one for Christmas.....actually we got 2....one from Glenns Mum and Dad and 1 from my brother...LOL
It's just something I've never bothered doing (updating them to DVD). I'm always gunna, but always find something else to buy instead. hehe
I will I will I think theres more in the DVD's too, isn't there. Isn't Smile on the Touring Band DVD? It's not on the VHS :( and I LOVE that clip - one of my all time fav's - it always makes me smile -from start to finish

yeeees get it! i checked and mine was 1930, it said something about the first edition being so popular and selling 500K copies that they re-released it to add more stuff.. very cool
cure for tummy pains.. drink a glass of hot water
some of the methods back then will seem like malpractice now huh  our seminar room at the hospital had a glass case of all this old equipment they used on patients years and years ago, so scary to see that flexible soft tubes were once hard glass instruments..
in another 100 years.. don't go there  LOL! sucks for students as there's a new edition practically every year for most science courses 'cos it's all changing so rapidly...
