They're great for when they're a bit older......they love that little bit of independance and being upright. It's on a big spring and they can bounce up and down and all over the place. All my kids used to crack up!You can hook them to a frame (like in that pic) or a door frame. It was good - we could take it anywhere, if we were inside, outside chilling or doing gardening. The only downfall to them is that they're strapped in firmly, to a harness thing and if they poop in their nappy, it just squirts straight up their back
Slings are great too.....I had one....for the front though....I couldn't stand having them on my back and not being able to make eye contact etc with them.
I thought they were banned cos they were making kids legs go bandy....
WHAT! Cuddles are good! And lots of them. Leigh and I cuddle our DOGS more than some people cuddle their kids.
Did you demand feed or schedule feed eg every 3-4 hours or thereabouts. My mum (who had 5 kids) and Leigh's mum both say DO NOT demand feed because I'll be a cow all day long. They reckon kids get used to the times and will adjust to set feeding hours.
I reckon demand feed is better u are feeding them when they need food u arent shoving food down there throats when they arent hungry....perhaps thats why so many kids are obese these days
I reckon this is why Kindergartens now do full days instead of half days...
Its to suit working parents so they dont have to arrange day care for the other half of the day.
When Phoebe was in kindy we had a choice half or full and I chose half cos it was better for Phoebe to be there half a day....A full day is so much on a little kid 3 or 4 yrs old..
Now at our school they only do full days...
i reckon it would be too.. kylie as just saying this the other day..

Yeah this is the first time our little Kindy's ever done it. They are only doing it because the new teacher we got is travelling every day from Perth  Poor thing, so it's bad enough for her to have to do that trip 4 times a week let alone eight times a weeks, if we had the usual 4 half days.....it'd cost her more for fuel than her wages.
Maddi's only done the 2 full days so far and was fine until she'd been home about half an hour and literally just dropped asleep hehe
some ARE born to teach.. i chose my career 'cos of a great teacher
and some.. make you wonder why they entered the field :(
Yep I agree.........
I know of this teacher that Carissa had in Grade 1 she was a cow and still is..
I cant believe she is still teaching....
Having a great teacher makes such a difference..:)

Thats insane....she has to travel so far....
They have been trying to encourage teachers from here to go to WA to teach.
Just before Carissa graduated they had ppl come and talk to them about considering moving to Perth. Where they were wanting to send them tho u needed a 4 wheel drive.. Would it be up in the Kimberlies?? I will have to ask her. The pay was really good and I think there may have been a tax benefit too..

We are so short of teachers over here - it's getting rediculous :(
You would definitely need a 4 wheel drive for the Kimberlies.....it'd have to be diesel too because of all the petrol sniffing
About 1.5hours drive to Perth city. So it's not that far....but would be adding 3 hours (maybe more if she's North of the river) to her day.....plus the cost of fuel. She has young children too.
uhuh! I said this the other day, too: Having children is a privellege - NOT A RIGHT!!!
Glenn has a cousin who, her and her hubby, have spent a small fortune on IVF over the years and are getting to a point of having to give in :( They'd be the best parents, too.
OK.....gone
missed this...
my heart goes out to them :( i know a few couples who've been trying to adopt for years..
Awwwwwwww & LMAO!! Love the titles for the pics
Even my Glenn saw that I was looking at baby photo's and came rushing over saying "Is that new photo's of Glenns baby?"
We both Ooh'd and aah'd over them. She is just ADORABLE!!!!! So's Dad hehe!
