Just for the record, I got about 45 seconds thru the video, which goes for 5 minutes, so if anyone can watch it, let me know what happens!

O.K. heres my opinion re: 9/11
I don't think it's the worst thing to ever happen, thousand of people around the world die in 3rd world countries in floods, earthquakes, starvation ect and for other reasons like war in Iraq, afghanistan, dufour.
but because this happened to America it's the end of the world.
nobody seems to give 2 shits when people in third world countries die, like the tsunami.
in the last 2 months over 2000 people have died and hundreds of thousands left homeless in floods in North Korea and Bangladesh
sure 9/11 was terrible but America isn't the only country in the world to have bad things happen, but you would think so.
end rant.
though stones now.
and i still think it was an inside job but that's a whole other rant.condescending and sarcastic since 19800 -

I hear what you're saying Glenn
I think its because it was an act of terrorism (or in your very much entitled to opinion, an inside job) or an act done by someone, it gets more headlines than a natural disaster...
In saying that, the coverage that Hurrican Katrina got compared to the devastation caused by the boxing day Tsunami was terribly out of proportion. Over 200K dead in the Tsunami (could be more, relying on memory) which hammered many countries, compared to New Orleans. Not saying that N O is insignificant, but how bout some perspective?Stars walk the red carpet because they're famous - I walk the toilet paper because im the shit.0 -

Besides the inside job call I totally agree champ. Waaaay too much stuff goes unnoticed and you have only touched the surface in your post.
I feel terribly for all those who perished or lost loved ones/friends. Had this happened in a minnow of a country I have no doubt that the exposure would never have been so large. I must say that the organisers did an incredible job of what they planned and achieved their objective (and no I dont condone it in any way). I dont think we'll ever see anything that scale again as we have all become a little more savvy - the yanks intelligence services are now even working together!!!!!
Think how much the yanks dictate media/trends/fads/music etc etc etc - it was always gonna get huge worldwide media attention (and I believe if it happened elsewhere it most likely would not have)..
Still to this day I curse the yanks (or maybe the Olsen twins) for spreading the global epidemic of me having to listen to every teenager (even some oldies) say LIKE every second friggin word and then follow it up with DO YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN
RIP to the fallenI'll ride the wave where it takes me.0 -

What makes you think people don't care or "give a shit" about all of those other tragedies?
I for one most certainly do!!!
It just happens to be the annaversary of one of MANY tragedies today - 9/11.
Sorry to be all serious
but *shrug* couldn't ignore that.

Kyles I dont think he's saying in any way that people dont care about other tragedies. I think he means that the others dont get the exposure they deserve in relation to 9/11.I'll ride the wave where it takes me.0
