Can't say enough how right you are. I watch it every night on Netflix.
98: St. Louis. 2000: Alpine. 2003: Chicago. 2006: Chicago Night 2, Milwaukee Night 1. 2007: Chicago (Lolla). 2009: Chicago 1 & 2. 2011: Alpine 1 & 2. 2013: Chicago & LA Night 1. 2016: Chicago 1 & 2. 2018: Chicago 1 & 2.
they do the future, time travel, etc very well. Matt Groening has always been a science geek I guess, but couldnt really scratch that itch with the Simpsons other than the Halloween episodes.
It certainly is a great output for his inner sci-fi geek. I was worried when it came back, but they've managed to produce episodes just as good, or better, than during its original run.
Its one show that I can watch and be entertained. There is so much worthless, mindless crap out there that isnt worth the time of day that survives like a cockroach.

"We would love to continue. We have many more stories to tell. But if we don’t, this is a really great way to go out. I think these episodes are the best ones we’ve ever done."

Its great.
Matt Groening's comments left the door open to future futuramas.
Indeed:
“As I said three times before, this is definitely the absolute end of the show. I don’t know why nobody believes me when I say that.”
Edit: Blerg. That was Cohen. Sentiment remains the same.
