    The lead singer of Australian rock band Grinspoon is being treated for addiction to the drug ice, according to a newspaper report.

    Phil Jamieson was admitted to the Odyssey House rehabilitation centre's detox unit at Ingleburn, in Sydney's south-west, last week, News Limited reported.

    The report said Jamieson admitted himself to the centre following intervention by his wife and family, who had become concerned about his erratic behaviour.

    Jamieson left the centre on Friday to complete a four to six-week rehabilitation program at a private clinic.

    Grinspoon manager Gregg Donovan issued a statement on behalf of the band members and Jamieson's family.

    "Grinspoon frontman Phil Jamieson has voluntarily admitted himself to rehab in relation to substance abuse issues," the statement said.

    "Everybody in the Grinspoon camp and his family are supportive of Phil's movements in getting himself into rehab, and can't wait to have him back on board."

    The statement said Grinspoon would release its fifth studio album, Alibis and Other Lies, later this year after spending the past few months in the recording studio.

    heard this on the news this morning, but is really no surprise is it - you only have to see phil in action/read interviews with him - he's pretty open about his past drug use, but he'd supposedly cleaned up with this new girl & bub.

    im feeling for her really - one buba, and one a few weeks off - talking from experience myself, its not easy being on the other side of someone going thru withdrawals - i hope things go well for them both, but he's obviously got a self destructive streak in him...

    :(

    and i was looking forward to catching up with the grinners again this year - can always be counted on to go off live

    it's plain on the back, my mate got one, from what i remember it's a fairly thin material, but yeah it's a pretty cool looking shirt, they were printed in three different colors, the green one for the Aussie tour, the brownish one for Europe, and i think the american one was a similar color to the aussie one but the bird/fist was printed in different colors.

    Spewing about the blue surfer tees. Maybe I should just get the large size and just go on a heavy carb and junk diet. Eat Chew and Spew for brekky every morning, KFC for lunch and sweet and sour pork for din dins. Yum

    Doing a liver detox next week - how the heck am I gonna go 10 days without alcomohol. May have to get the old bong outta the cupboard

    The 10c has the surfer t on the website but in White, i think the white looks pretty sweet, i think i might pick up a white one.
