    Please no power outage again. Last October was awful.

    now they just said my parents on the lower east side might have to evacuate which blows becasue i was planning to maybe stay there monday night if i cant get home to brooklyn

    bloomberg said if winds are sustained 40 mph all buses and subways will shut down

    he might as well have said their will be no transit because the winds are gonna be more than that for sure :fp:

    You really think this shits gonna hit that bad J? Would suck to go to work and get caught in that shit. I remember a couple years ago during the blizzard mayor Bloomberg didn't call it a state of emergency. And we drove into the city to see the rockettes show because they didn't cancel the show and instead of eating the tix we went. What a waste. Boring show, but got to say, the city was pretty cool in a blizzard.

    NOAA wave/surge analysis of Frankenstorm is now 5.0 on a 6.0 scale. Roughly similar coastal destructiveness as a Cat 4 hurricane.

    Watching latest update: storm is going to start coming on shore TOMORROW and will continue on through Monday and Tuesday. Trying not to panic but I expect we will make sure we get supplies today in case power is out for a while.

    State of emergency declared in Atlantic County already. They haven't cancelled classes yet...not sure what they're waiting for :? I'm sure as hell not planning on driving into the storm
