My company is beginning to ramp up for the power restoration. They even sent an email on absentee voting options for those employees that will be involved in the restoration.

Just heard on the boob tube that there are many Oil refineries
in the projected paths of the storm between NY and NJ .

The storm surge is unprecedented from what they are saying,
from the combination of winds, high tides and the full moon .

I'm worried about loss of power.
I've medicine that needs to be refridgerated,
so, i'm off to get alot of ice ,
    and pack my playmate cooler.
For the ones who had a notion, a notion deep inside
That it ain't no sin to be glad you're alive

That is a great idea josevolution,
but all the generators are gone.

I'm in an apartment and cant really used a gas powered generator.
I should be fine with the ice and the playmate tho,
i'm hoping this will all be a 'not so eventful'
ordeal when its all said and done with .

Seriosuly...all the best to fellow east coasters especially the NYC/NJ/CT dudes out there late this weekend. I truly hope this ends up to be a lot of hype.

I too, hope this doesn't turn out bad. But, I believe it is going to live up to the hype & more. Just hope the ppl in the NE don't shrug it off as just another storm. This thing is impressive & if it makes landfall in Jersey (as they are starting to say), that would be the worse case scenario for NYC

hard to say exactly where it will hit, latest forecast has it tracking to make landfall on Delaware. So that would affect Baltimore, DC, maybe Philly....we just need to stay tuned
