He took more vacation time than any other President in the history of the United States.

I don't like Obama and I sure as hell don't like Dubya... but, come on. :fp:

He actually took the longest "vacation" in the history of the presidency during the month of August 2001. But, again, much like the fact that President never "goes home", he never really "takes a vacation" either.

The point is, the Reps are blabbing away about the dinner hour when their own guy took what some thought was an outrageous amount of vacation throughout his two terms (also he was a coke addict ) ... just proves that they are full of shit.

it is beyond my comprehension because it is utterly ludicrous that people actually give a shit about this. does that make it clearer for you?
Of course people give a shit both sides have talked about it.
He won't be going down as the hardest working President in history.
His job is 24 7 period.
It is a half hearted leader who only agrees to do things on his own terms,
no compromise. "Sorry I can not meet with these people on important issues
cause I have to be home in the evenings" :?
say what  that is ludicrous!
This is just crazy talk. He knows his job is 24/7 when required. You think he refuses a call from Putin or someone because they call at 7pm? You think he ignores his phone between 6 and 9 when the Secretary of States gives him a ring? Just because he's around his family, doesn't mean he's not working, and doesn't mean he's not available when needed.
Actually no he does not know this  I like how you add when required...
you obviously see it too. He has refused meetings, invitations, policy making,
relationship building because he is off limits in the evening ...
must be really nice, I know many hard working people who would love that luxury.

I think the President should put the country first, not have an arbitrary rule that he can not
function as President during the evening hours ...
that just makes me laugh and :fp:

It was an evening news cast, both parties taking note of deliberate
snubbing of his office agenda ... I believe it has been mentioned in threads here also,
common knowledge he is at home for dinner every night :fp:

hey but a quick google gave me this ...
I bet it is here too
