listening to it now. not too bad so far, only halfway done. It's not bad, but def. not their best work. Doubt it will make my "best of" list. I do however like Knock Knock a lot though8/28/98- Camden, NJ

I don't know Band of Horses at all but I know people on here rave about them. I've just seen that they’re coming to NZ in January so can people help me with where to start with their music? TIA.<hr>

I liked the album, a bit different from what I am used to from them. REALLY dug the 5 song EP with the deluxe edition. Relly's Dream is an amazing song. Catalina was really good too. Gonna give the record another spin. It was good but need to hear it a few more times. He who forgets will be destined to remember.

I think their first two are among the albums i'd give to anyone new to indie rock and interested in getting into the genre. Havent heard the new record yet. Infinite Arms had a few good ones, Laredo has a damn good main riff on it, and a song like For Annabelle highlights the bands vocal abilities. But, I think they lost the plot for me at least, when they expanded to more country territory and left the indie rock sound behind. I saw them on tour maybe 7 months before Infinite Arms came out, and their live show was alot different than what I would have expected based off Everything and Cease. You could tell they were definitely changing their sound.
For me, the bands first two records symbolize all that I love about them. This great ambience and feeling, unique sound, interesting lyrics, and just toe tapping and head nodding fun.
I applaud them for trying out new sounds, but i miss the BOH of old, the one who did Detlef and No Ones Gonna, and Our Swords. Doesnt get much better than The Funeral. Or more beautiful than St Augustine and Window Blues
I first heard these guys in 2006, when Everything all the Time, hit. And they felt so new, so unique, so refreshing. It was one of those moments where you feel like youve been missing out on something your whole life, and this was the sound i had been missing.0 -
its kind of funny the PJ fan base only became aware of them only after they put out their 2 best albums. Would have been pretty cool had they toured with PJ on the first two records0

I like all their stuff they are my fav band at the moment , love the vibe they put out it feels relaxed to me ..And live they are so cool go and see them you will not be dissapointed ...jesus greets me looks just like me ....0
