That was not Glen's own song, it was written by Daniel Johnston - Devil Town (but brilliant every time he does it :-)

    Thanks for the info!

Eddie was fantastic!! The show was amazing! The best show my girlfriend and I ever attended :o

Glen stopped his set earlier, because he was blown away by the crowds reaction. He couldn't play guitar anymore and did a amazing acoustic sing along about he devils town he grew up in.. Cool!

The setlist was superb, Immortality, Whislist, Eldery woman, the Into the Wild songs, Just Breathe, Unthought Known, Better days! and Rocking in a free world = great, great great :D:):o:o:clap::clap::clap::clap:

Glen told us in his set, that he needed a very ' good heart' person in his life, because he lacked a good heart in a difficult period. And when he crossed paths whit Eddie, he found the heart he was missing. And he loved to be part of this tour. Falling Slowly w/Glen Hansard was absolutely beautiful, it made me cry. So good, with Eddie giving Glen support and singing so good!

And Eddie did wear the lab coat and a white head, very funny!! Nice for Mirella, she deserved it. And it was funny and really nice, that she could play with Eddie and Glen on Rocking.. When you do good, good things can happen to you!

Very happy seeing this fantastic show with the love of my life. Eddie is the best artist in the world and a great inspiration to be good and share love with people you care about deeply. I remind myself that every day.

    Amazing night! Amazing!

Are you guys forgetting that this was also the 1st time that Long Nights has been played live? Saweeeet!
nah he played it at the beacon in NYC last year
I think the bushnell show 2011 was the first time

Eddie also played Long Nights at the Philly show in 2011-I was there, and it was one of the two songs I cried during-the other being "Falling Slowly". That show was truly the most moving show I have ever been to in my life, and I've been to many! :)

Amazing. Totally different set than night one, very different feel to it too. Row 13 in the stalles (thanks 10club!), so great seats, and the seat near the aisle made it possible to jump right out and go front row for the last 3 songs. :D

I loved them doing sleepless nights without microphones...a guy behind me talked during that and I almost murdered him. Really enjoyed wishlist too, and of course forever young, during which I expectedly cried like a baby. BUGS!! I was so happy for Mirella coming on stage! and I can now say that I've witnessed 2 out of 3 times that bugs was played. ;)

He came out again afterwards, took a little more time than wednesday, so I could tell him I had the sign he read on stage in copenhagen, thanking them for great music and new friends, and how thankful I was to be able to say it in person now... he said he remembered the sign (or at least he pretended to ;) ) and hugged me. :D Mirella met him again as well, and got a picture :D He asked how many people here were travelling for the other gigs, and quite a few raised their hands, so he said he'll be trying to mix it up as much as possible, but that we'd probably still hear some songs more than once. ;)
spent the rest of the evening with great friends, drinking and talking about this show and this band we love so much, perfect ending. I love you Amsterdam, I'll be back.

This song was also a surprise for me. And what I liked about it is that he truly sung it with all his might. And when you see this, and hear this, in an auditorium, you truly realize how passionate this song is. He said at the beginning btw that he played all the instrument himself: I didn't know that...

Once again: an awesome, awesome show... These two shows together were magic...

That always gets to me. Why do people talk during a concert especially when there is an acapella (not the right word, but you get the drift) going on??? Don't get it...

It is no punishment to hear a few songs a couple of times. Quite curious what he will play in Manchester, London and Portugal though...

Hi guys! new kid in town ;)... first of all, I went to PJ Amsterdam I and II, they where my first PJ gigs! I was completely blown away by the band and the crowd! Since those gigs i've been listening to PJ 24/7, literally!
Sure, I know all the bigs hits and ofcourse know all the words to Black, Alive and Jeremy... but I never really looked passed their greatest hits CD and Ten (Ten was actually one of the first records I remember buying, It's still hanging on my wall.)

Yesterday I went to EJ's solo gig, only on a whim. I didn't have tickets and happened to be in town due to my work, so I thought why not go see Eddie! ofcourse it was sold-out, atleast that's what ticketmaster.nl said. So I just went to the venue hoping someone was selling their spare ticket... unfortunately not. But then I heard from some guy that he got a ticket from the people at the register, apparently there where still some spare ones! So I rushed in and managed to get one. Boy was I glad that I did... I've been to a bunch of gigs but nothing could compare to what I saw last night, what a voice and performance!
absolutely was stunned by Immortality, felt like he really gave it all on that one, goosebumps & shivers down my spine.

I'm still flabbergasted from the last two nights... I was lucky enough to have tickets for both nights
and I am so glad I did !!!
First night 10C tickets were first row balcony, great seats! Second night floor row 14, fantastic!
During RITFW a lot of people went to the front and I joined, so the last few songs I was directly in front of the stage

Loved Falling Slowly, especially on the second night, tears kept coming. Beautifull harmonies!
Parting Ways, Trouble, Long nights, Walking the Cow, Bugs ( :o for the second time within a month!!!!), Dream a Little Dream....Wow!!!!!

Still can't find the right words to describe the magic of those two nights, and the magic of Glen (who was brilliant!) and Eddie.....

For now I keep reliving every moment.....

Yeah, he was almost apologizing for it..and people were like don't worry, we like to hear those songs again

    Can't wait for tomorrow.

And I'm more and more impressed with Glen, he always has such an intense performance...might go see him solo in fall too!

    DAN VV
welcome aboard....this band has some really good vibes to offer...
and obviously...it's never too late to jump on board!!!
  • Hi guys,
    Thanks for sharing!

I wasn't there for this show, but was lucky to get 10c tickets for the first show, which was amazing!!!
I went with my wife and my sister looked after our 2 boys. We flew back home to Copenhagen Friday and my sister got to sit next to a guy who was at this show. They talked during the whole flight home and appearently clicked.
She was a bit disapointed that he didn't try to get her number, so now she asked me to see if she could get in contact with him through this forum.
He's from Kolding, Denmark, was at the 2nd show - that's about all she knows. (I know it isn't much help...)
    Can anyone help? Please.
    Cheers,
    Martin

Amazing show, was there the night before, so glad I could go twice.
Went there with a brazilian colleague the second night, she totally loved it.
Met a guy when we came in, from the US, he just walked by and saw that Eddie was playing.
He walked in and could buy a ticket, he was soooo happy about it. Loved the vibe, was so happy for Mirella although I never met her.
Feeling a little sad now that it's all over for me but hey, hope we won't have to wait too long before a new European tour. If Pearl Jam won't visit Europe again next year I sure hope Eddie does.

    Went to the second night with my wife. She is not a big fan like me and she sometimes thinks i am grazy beeing such a PJ and EV freek. But after beeing to the show she kept saying;

"this is absolutely the most beautyfull thing i have ever experianced".

She now understands my adoration thanks to Ed.
Glen by the way was a big suprice for me. Going to buy some musik from him for sure.
Hope to see Ed again sometime In Europe.

It was just a truly magical experience. The sound was spot on. Eddie seemed relaxed. Set was great. Glen was great - he truly is quite an entertainer.

We had so much fun in A´dam for 3 days. Hope to catch Eddie solo or PJ in Holland again someday soon!

I was so happy that I finally got to see Ed's solo performance! Happy is not the word, you can call it excited!
And it was an exciting experience! Wow!
I'm still on a cloud, and I think I will be on it for a couple of days. Maybe weeks. ;)

after all those Pearl Jam concerts I never succeed in catching/finding a guitar pick...
now I could visit eddie solo and he does not give a lot of guitar picks away, but somehow there was one on the floor and nobody had seen it the evening before it seems, so I was glad to pick it up :D

but because when u only have one, you only can see one side when you paste it to a wall or even frame it.. I decide to do it like this... a stencil of the guitar pick I found... and the real one will get a spot close to the stencil.

    hope u like it
