% I saw two docus about people who are "prepping" for doomsday at work today.
~ Some people seem to have too much time and money on their hands.
0 I liked the grandpa best who refused to join the sanitizing drill.

I know a doomsday prepper (she believes in 12/21/12 wholeheartedly). She's a total fucking nutjob and no one likes her. Unfortunately, she has kids and is ruining their lives because of her crack pot ideas.
With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be careful. Strive to be happy. ~ Desiderata

I agree, I also thought their families were the ones who really had to suffer. The craziest was a family with 4 children that moved from a bigger city in Florida (where they grew up and had family and friends) to a rural area in Tennessee because the father and mother were scared of a pole shift :fp: The children weren't too happy ...

Oh, and the pandemic-fearing woman with the sanitizer tick was also quite disturbing. I wouldn't want to change with any of her children :| I thought of my cute little nephew who was all covered in dirt after having played outside the whole day last weekend. He was so happy and he will probably never really have problems with allergies. My sister got a kick out of bathing him in the evening

The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun.
