Nice! Thanks for posting. Love hearing the full W.M.A. So great! And count me in the minority (no pun intended) who thought 99 Problems was super cool. They did the same thing with Cypress Hill waaaaay back in the day, so what's the big deal? I'm way more bummed to hear yet another set full of Alives and Jeremys and RITFWs. :D All good though, that's the nature of festivals. Should come as no surprise at this point.

Something that occurred to me, however, was that when this band wants to break out the big guns (the hits, the popular songs that a lot of people know) they sure have a TON of them. And they're really good songs, too, classics. This band has a whole catalog of stone (!) cold classics. That's pretty cool. For us diehards it can be a bit of a letdown, but if I was seeing PJ for the first time, I'd be pretty impressed that they can bust out classic after classic like that. It's easy to forget just how far these guys have come. Anyway, just my 2 cents.

Agree, I had my husband with me who is not a huge fan and it was nice to see him know most of the songs :D

I know the feeling. I took my wife to Amsterdam 1 & 2 and she liked night 1 better -- she knew more songs. :D

Non sequitur, but am I the first to realize that 99 Problems contains the lyrics "rear view mirror"? Add the overall theme of being pulled over by the police for no reason, which perfectly connects to W.M.A., and I'd say it was a pretty inspired choice.

  • Does anyone know if they're going to have the entire set on YouTube? I tried to stream it on Sunday night but all I was able to see was Run DMC and Santigold. I haven't searched the board entirely but I'm pretty sure they didn't stream Pearl Jam's set, right? Thanks, I'm out of the loop!

  • I was there, the band was into it. Our guys are never going to do anything that they don't want to do. :)

I don't think it was streamed. There were some posts on here about it, but people were losing their minds over it and I skipped 'em. You can usually find the whole show through different videos within a day or two with a big of digging. Anyone got links?

  • I thought it was cool. Jeff kept playing the WMA bassline into 99 problems, and its pretty amazing how well it worked with the song.

Thanks for posting. Still can't believe the collaboration happened. Was hoping it would although not in my wildest dreams did I think it'd be realized....checked the setlist yesterday morning....read the Jay Z shoutout before GTF, thought that was it....and then.... That one's gonna leave a mark, a good one, in the history of PJ.

Thanks for posting ;) I saw that they did this song with Jay Z and tried not to watch :fp: because I can't stand rap music! well I really liked the intro............................. and it's looks like they had fun and I guess that's all that matters. :)
