The car analogy is atrocious.
What do irresponsible people do when driving a car? Most do nothing besides arrive at their destination. I go over the speed limit every single day. That is irresponsible. I see many, many others: speeding, driving drunk, texting, cutting people off, going through stop signs and red lights, etc...and still arriving at destinations without a problem.

I'm trying to understand what YOU meant by the words. If you said them out of turn to make a point and dont really mean them, I can understand that and will drop my questions about it; but if you do mean them I'd really like clarification so I can understand your point of view. This is a very important issue to me, so I'm really trying to understand.

if I recall some memories popped up during the last of that post...
as far as without plan and regrets. I have mentioned this already though.

My point of view is that it is important to have a plan to avoid being a victim in life,
whether you are a gun owner or not. Being unprepared can be equal to being weak.
Life lessons teach us to be strong and ready, often in hindsight unfortunately.

I think that pretty much summed it up which I have said before in a couple of other posts.

Now you got it ...it is exactly the very same with guns. People know who is responsible...
we see it and know it and know who isn't.

As I have said in previous posts, over my life I have known countless responsible gun owners.
They have children never once has any been injured, none never ever.
Yet I see everyday the shootings committed by the thoughtless.
Not the thoughtful.

Just as their are those who drive there whole lives like me

I don't sympathize with this shooter just saying he didn't know the cop was dead
and as he was dying said tell him I'm sorry I'm a shithead.

Sounds understandable, he regretted what he did. Probably because he was
without that plan I speak of and did something stupid.
Was he drinking or otherwise compromised?

and no I didn't have any then either remember?

It was philosophical based on life's lessons, not pointing a finger at anyone,
nor finding fault. Just hoping everyone gets a plan whether they own a gun or not.

No, people dont know in advance who's responsible, otherwise nobody would've sold those guns to Holmes, or the officer in TX wouldve called for backup...nobody knows. And, you can be extremely responsible and still have accidents. No one is perfect. Remember, I was nearly shot in the head by one of the most respected, responsible people I know.
