    Thai Senator Mistakenly Shot And Killed His Secretary With An Uzi During Lunch

    A Thai senator accidentally shot his cousin dead as he tried to put away the 9mm submachine gun that he had placed on the table during a family meal, police said on Monday.

    Boonsong Kowawisarat fatally injured Chanakarn Detkard, 46, when he mistakenly fired the Uzi at a private dining area of the Garden Resort, in Phrae province, northern Thailand, on Sunday evening.

    It's certainly a lot rarer for a female to do a mass shooting. Women usually show their aggression in other ways. There was a shooting at a mall near me back in the 80s. I think there have been a few other cases, but this is the only one I know of off the top of my head

    I believe there's some truth to this. :)



    I certainly believe that if there were more women 'around the table', there would be a bit more conciliation and peace. I am not saying men are useless - far from that. It's just a different way of thinking. The women with some power at the moment (or in recent past) are not what I call 'real' women - such as Merkel, Thatcher, etc. These are women 'being' men in a man's world.

    I don't think 90% of men are useless, and am uncomfortable with people talking that way. What if someone came on here and said that most women are useless? I doubt it would go over too well. :nono: But I absolutely agree that the more women - or equal part men and women - you have in government or just participating fully in society in general the better. There is one thing that EVERY 3rd world nation has in common: women are marginalized in one way or another (or in pretty much every way!). I don't think this is a coincidence AT ALL.

    There are a number of women serial killers, etc. but a number of them kill with other means than guns (eg poison) but a woman 'mass shooting' killer (ie going in guns blazing and shooting anything that moves) is very rare. Women are just not 'wired' that way. And yes, women can be very vicious... be careful.. 8-)

    Sure women commit violent crimes... although I think men outnumber women in committing violent crime 10 to one. They are definitely 10 times more likely to commit murder, and, obviously, almost infinitely more like to commit rape (this is NOT the case for pedophilia btw - more women commit that crime than some might imagine). Women commit nearly as much crime as men, apparently, just not violent crime or crimes that get them sent to prison as much (9x the men have been in prison vs women).

    I suppose it's good that I'm not (yet?) blase about these things.

    As to a woman president, it'd be interesting for sure. But, I'm as likely to vote for anyone based on their gender as I am based on race, religion, or even just one or two issues.

    The selfish side of me liked the shoe thing though ;)
