My appalling luck with posters continues.

One day I might get a show poster that I like !

Kozik is doing 3 posters for the EV Euro tour. All 3 posters have hand picked themes by Ed. Same goes for the EV fall US tour.

Yeah you are right, I read somewhere that Kozik is doing 3 poster this tour and yes all themes picked by Ed and for the fall US tour he is doing a tryptich.

I really, really hate BH Amsterdam 2 poster, I mean it's not that ugly there are dozen ugliest poster ih PJ and EV catallog but I just can't even watch it, I'll put it on the bottom of my deep draw not to see it ever again
It sucks when you get a ugly shit for such beautiful show.

The Kozik one is OK, don't care about violence theme and it's not that violente IMO.

But somehow I don't belive will see any really good poster on this tour like last EV one....nothing as cool

    A Clockwork Orange?
From Inside The Rock Poster Frame:
he assisted Frank Kozik in the design of the poster. Eddie wanted a Clockwork Orange theme and Frank delivered it. The bottom right of the poster says "In Memory of Algys Budrys", he was a native of Manchester and the writer of A Clockwork Orange.

    clockworkorange.jpg

Didn't Anthony Burgess write A Clockwork Orange?

    Indeed...

Algis Budrys (January 9, 1931 – June 9, 2008) was a Lithuanian-American science fiction author, editor, and critic. He was also known under the pen names "Frank Mason," "Alger Rome," "John A. Sentry," "William Scarff," and "Paul Janvier."

Not sure if that is meant to be him dressed in the Clockwork Orange costume or if they just fucked the name up...

I recently re read some of budrys stuff a book called Who? Which also featured a weird dystopian future with a heavy soviet influence, and since no one seems to care about him anymore plus he has a weird looking name I stuck it on there for personal kicks the moon is on there also because I like the moon and it's connection to KUbrick a the place in 2001 where they found the second monolith...and Kubrick directed the film version of a clockwork orange and so on so in a way it's a vague tribute to weird sic Di from the late 60's early 70's

Plus it looks pretty cool in real life the colors are crazy. Something different anyways got to say no photo thus far has been able to really represent the colours"

We'll get wonderful posters both nights in London cos we're due,Mr D.

Honestly...I'm not hopeful. For me,so far so truly dreadful.

It's all about opinions and beauty,of course,is in the eye of the beholder but I've a horrible feeling my eyes won't be beholden to poster beauty in London. Saves money I guess but would love something special on the wall.

Personally I find the gas mask very creepy. It also was on the 2000 Europe posters.

i like the idea of the poster was made at Manchester.
    i dont like it tho..
the only reason to buy it for me would be if i was at the show
"...Dimitri...He talks to me...'.."The Ghost of Greece..".
    "..That's One Happy Fuckin Ghost.."
“..That came up on the Pillow Case...This is for the Greek, With Our Apologies.....”

Hoping you get a sweet poster in London, Paul :D But come on, Soto-McPherson for PJ Manchester 1 did nothing for you? I can't believe it! I still maintain that you've been injected by some antidote or something :lol:

bought both amsterdam ones...too much rain & no poster tubes made manchester a no-go, not too bothered as I wasn't that fond of the design anyway.

there will never be a prettier EV poster than the seattle pike place market one last year...would love to have that someday.

Everything glows under black light. Especially that sort of color scheme. Be cool to have it hanging while rereading that book.
